A large row of seats and two desks on opposite ends were arranged the in the great hall of Silverwood Castle, in the middle of them was a chair where Count Silverwood was supposed to be seated. Arthur and Norman were on the left hand side of the room, while a representative of the Luciannese kingdom and an assistant were on the right. The representative was a tall man with long, black hair, a beard and pale skin. He was also dressed entirely in black clothes. His assistant was also a tall man with similar features but less fancy clothes and had less of presence
At that point the only people in the room were Arthur, Norman and that representative, but ten minutes later the whole room was filled with people from the castle. Eventually Count Silverwood arrived, he was a man slightly on the short side, he was slim and had sightly short brown hair. He wore an elaborate blue suit with a light blue cloak 'Greetings everybody, it is time for the debate that will decide the fate of Silverwood, second largest city in the Rosethorne Kingdom. Before I begin there is a concern I wish to raise, Prince Arthur?' Arthur was clearly thrown off by this.
'Yes... sir?'
'I have heard from the castle butler that a ghost entered your room' As soon as Count Silverwood mentioned that the audience gasped and started talking amongst themselves. The Luciannese representative didn’t even filch, however. The Count called for the audience to quieten down.
'Yes... I did see a ghost last night' Arthur declared, nervously.
'Was the ghost a person you were familiar with?' enquired Count Silverwood
'No... I could hardly recognise her...' said Arthur, again with a nervous tone. After a brief period of silence, the Luciannese representative started talking
'You are claiming that you barely recognised this ghost, but you are referring to this person as “her”, which implies you knew immediately that the ghost was a female, is it possible you could explain yourself, Prince Arthur?' Arthur was silent for a while, he had an agitated look on his face.
'What is the point of all of this? Ghosts have been around all the time, everyone knows that! So why is this such a big deal?' The hall went silent, and Count Silverwood responded:
'We were just checking to make sure you're all right. Prince Arthur, as you said, we all know ghosts exist, but that doesn't mean that incidents involving them aren't taken seriously. People have been killed by ghosts before, and you, being the future king of our illustrious kingdom, must to be protected. If there's nothing else shall we begin the main topic of our debate?'
'Yes please.' said Arthur.
'Yes, this discussion about ghosts is clearly a waste of time.' said the representative.
'OK then, first of all, I need clarification on something.' said Count Silverwood nervously 'Representative Armando Bersa, apparently Queen Juliet has plans to declare war on the Rosethorne Kingdom, is that true?' Armando was shocked, and then shouted:
'What! Lie! Slander!' Armando was shaking furiously and stood silent for a while.
'Arthur, there's a chance that he's either lying or hiding something, at least I hope he's lying,..' Norman whispered.. After a while Armando started talking:
'As far as I am aware we have no plans to declare war, though our Queen, being the eccentric ruler she is, can change that in second.' Arthur and Norman started giggling
`Did he just call her mad?! That is priceless!' Norman whispered to Arthur.
'Hey! What are you two fools laughing at? Anyway... I have a question, what in the world makes you think we want to declare war?'
'I have a letter from King Richard...' Armando then slapped himself in the face.
'Because everything he says is true, right?!” he shouted.
'The letter I received says that he was interrogating a necromancer leader who was captured after a successful battle against his army, of which comprised of necromancers and zombies. This particular necromancer claimed to had known Queen Juliet and said, after interrogation, that she makes potions out of human blood, killing them once she's done with them and that she has a plan to take over the Rosethorne Kingdom. Representative Versa, what do you have to say about that?'
Armando stood there in utter shock and confusion, the whole room was talking as well, and so Count Silverwood again had to tell them to be silent.
#SummertimeSweetness Kori, you're a very sweet creator! I love this story you've made and I just know it's gonna take off. The characters make me laugh and the whole setup is just so fresh in the vampire/zombie genre. You've been very kind and I'm glad to be part of your journey! Keep up the great work, my friend, because believe me, this one's gonna take off like a rocket! :)
