A tall, masculine figure appears, drawing Cordelia’s eyes with his long wings and animalistic features...
Selene quietly growls when Razran - the half-fairy, half-beast supervisor - steps out of the crowd.
And Cordelia is worried as well. Razran seems angrier than usual as he kneels in front of the witch.
“What the hell is this?!”
He even makes some of the crowd scatter when he grunts. It’s probably because the witch isn’t willing to look at him.
And Razran’s mood only worsens when he grabs her shoulder and forces the witch to face him.
The witch’s only reaction is snorting and looking at him disdainfully.
“Heh... another of these types of guys, huh?”
And Razran doesn’t like her smile when the witch dares to laugh and pull her arm away.
It won’t end well... are Cordelia’s exact thoughts.
Meanwhile, Camelia can barely hold Selene back from jumping in.
“You have killed quite a few innocent creatures, you know...”
“As I heard, even one of our purest and strongest fairy leaders has fallen while trying to detain you.” Razran growls while the others back away, letting the older supervisor take control of the situation.
“Pfft... Pure? Innocent?” but the black and white-haired witch can barely contain her laughter. “If I remember well, they attacked first.”
“As they should... they did what they had to do when a trespassing witch appeared.”
“And they were lucky to warn us. Otherwise, there would be nothing left of that place.” Razran spits out, his irritation growing every second.
“Haha... don’t flatter yourself. I wouldn’t care about a few stupid fairies. Why would I waste my time cleaning up the trash?”
The witch's last sentences seem to cross the line.
Razran’s gaze fills with hatred.
Hatred... Cordelia has always felt that was the only feeling in him towards witches.
“You are the perfect example of why we should never trust witches,” he growls while grabbing the front of the witch’s clothes and shaking her. “I have no idea why the others want to give a chance to people like you.”
“Corry... this is bad. What should we do?” sounds Camelia’s frightened voice behind Cordelia’s back.
The blonde-haired girl can’t hold back Selena much longer. She’s already shaking with anger.
But Cordelia can’t help them. She’s trembling as well... Both out of anger and fear...
She can only stop shaking when a gentle hand grabs her arm and pulls her into a tight hug.
“It’s okay, everyone. Calm down...” Bastion’s voice sounds in her ears suddenly, and Cordelia finally lets out a shaky breath.
“I will handle this."
