Following the threats, Tarun lies low for a while and even stops stepping out of his house. One day, he appears on the balcony and invites media and public attention by further launching the first look of the film's sequel. He reveals this sequel would be completely original and continue the mystery. However, he also reveals he has received piracy threats about this sequel, and requests viewers not to strengthen such pirates by downloading the HD print and instead wait for the official release if they are unwilling to spend money on the tickets. This gains traction on social media and many viewers and celebrities come forward to support him. One week later, the shoot begins.
In the meanwhile, he also begins to suspect who could do this to him. Eventually, the suspicion falls on Ankit, who is now producing original content and winning acclaim everywhere. Tarun and Ankit meet at the same construction site where Tarun asks Ankit if he is the one who got the film leaked and sent him the threats. Ankit doesn't initially admit it, but agrees to spill the beans if he in turn reveals who he has and continues to target through the films. Tarun begins to feel the heat this time; both men will have to share their secrets eventually, but who would be the one to initiate the process?
After giving it a lot of thought, Tarun refuses to disclose the target's identity and walks away. Following his departure, Ankit stays at the site and it is revealed he himself doesn't know who was behind the leak and threats. In the subsequent two months, Tarun manages to complete the film and seeks legal help in order to protect the film from falling prey to piracy. The film releases and even the low quality camera-recorded versions of the film are taken down by the police. As the film concludes its weekend run with a decent opening, the HD print doesn't drop on the internet and Tarun belives it was a bluff meant to scare him and was never going to be actually executed.
But as the film completes its first week, a clear print recorded in cinemas with a high quality movie camera is uploaded and gains a lot of attention. This slightly affects the film's box office collections and it begins to underperform as it enters the second week. The police manage to nab the culprits, who claim the theatre owners joined forces with them in order to help leak the film. The theatre owners deny this, but sufficient evidence against them is found and they are forced to shut up shop. However, the pirated print has been viewed by many, and the damage is done. The film is withdrawn from multiple cinemas claiming Tarun did it on purpose to defame owners he had a personal grudge against. Nevertheless, the film manages to recoup its production costs and ends up becoming the third highest grossing film of the year. Tarun takes to social media in order to express his thoughts about the pirated version and calls it "frightening" to see how those pirates felt confident to record the film with a movie camera and how the theatre owners allowed that to happen, as if it was meant to get across the message that nobody can stop them.
As the film enters its third week at the box office, Tarun updates the theatrical version with a tease for another sequel, which excites the film's fans. However, a lot of groups begin protesting against the film, believing they were the ones targeted indirectly with it. They start rioting and attacking theatres playing the film, especially after improvement in its performance. A lot of critics jump on the bandwagon and start panning the film from their "fresh perspective" in an attempt to hurt its further run.
