One year later, with the final film still in production, Tarun is approached by many people who offer him money in exchange for choosing the "target" so that they can use it for political gains. Tarun declines the offer and says they won't need to do anything since everything would be revealed upon release. He is provided the security he demanded, and continues to work on the film.
Finally, the day of the release arrives, with shows starting from early morning. The cinemas start filling fast within no time, ensuring a grand opening at the box office. Tarun travels via helicopter to multiple cinemas and quietly watches the film with the audience, recording their reactions and exiting without letting anyone know. He shares the reactions on the internet and requests viewers not to spoil the film for others who are yet to see it, so that they can also share the same emotion of surprise. However, the response turns out to be mixed everywhere and it begins to reflect in the box office collections. The film recovers its budget within the opening weekend itself, but the viewers feel deceived since this film doesn't disclose the target's identity either.
Tarun addresses this online and reminds viewers of how he never promised to reveal the secret in this film, and would do so only moments before his death. The box office collections witness a sharp decline, with the word of mouth being negative. However, many critics and viewers come forward to support the film for its technical richness and strong performances, urging viewers to not just view the film as a means of targeting someone. Tarun requests the same, adding he did not disclose the target's identity also because he felt the audience had forgotten why everyone used to go to the movies in the first place. Since he felt he was partly responsible for it as the first two films were successful largely due to this method, he also needed to remind everyone including himself that cinema is also about entertaining everyone. Nevertheless, the film continues to witness further decline and bombs at the box office.
With people still wanting answers, Tarun later reveals in an interview that he had indeed revealed the target's identity in the film, but no one could possibly realize it.
