“A heart, in order to serve justice,
Made an important decision.
Nobody except the heart itself knows,
Whether or not it lacks precision.”
However, Naresh is soon reminded of what was done to his father. He quickly opens his eyes and dodges the bullet by shifting to the opposite side of the gun. This is followed by a kick, and results in Rajan collapsing. Naresh holds him on gunpoint. Rajan tells him he can’t shoot him since there was only one bullet in it and it got fired already. When Naresh pulls his sword towards him with his leg, Rajan begins laughing, telling Naresh he can possibly not fight him off since his hand, the right hand, has been chopped off. Listening to this, Naresh begins laughing too and tells him:
“Except… I am left-handed.”
Naresh stabs Rajan with the sword and calls it vengeance in the name of Atul, his father. The detective puts his hands up, seeing Naresh hold a sword. Naresh tells him he won’t kill him and only wants all the evidence he has found against Sunanda. The detective gives it to him, adding he himself is merely an investigator who works for a fee and hates violence. Naresh asks his name before he departs, and the detective reveals it to be “Max Layer”.
The death wish Naresh had asked for while Rajan was alive and about to shoot him, was a phone call to Indu; he told her where to find Sunanda’s photograph and to run it across news channels in order to track her down. Except now she won’t be doing it all alone. Naresh first goes to hospital and gets the necessary medication and treatments done. He then continues to meet Indu, who becomes teary-eyed seeing his right hand chopped off. Naresh consoles her and tells her it would all come to an end soon. All they need to do together now is to find out Sunanda. Her photograph is released in the media and the duo, including the cops, begins searching for her.
Naresh receives a call from Sunanda, who tearfully apologizes for leaving him. She sounds distressed and asks him to reconsider their past relationship before telling him her location and to come find her. Naresh informs Indu about this and the two board a train to the neighboring town Sunanda is presently in.
Arriving in the town, they first get a room at a hotel and then step outside to find out Sunanda. She texts Naresh the address to meet her, and the latter arrives there with Indu. Sunanda, who has been waiting to meet him since morning, is elated to see him, before she notices Indu with him. Sunanda asks him if he has considered trying one more time with her. Naresh tells her he doesn’t love her anymore, and that he has fallen for another girl. Sunanda begins tearing up and apologizes for hurting him in the past. Naresh tells her he can’t forgive her yet, for she is the reason behind the death of his imaginary girlfriend, and most importantly the actress: a real human being. Naresh asks Sunanda why she killed the actress, to which she responded by saying it was an accident. She didn’t like her as an actor already, and hated her in person, but killing her was absolutely a mistake. When questioned about her relationship with Deepak, she reveals he loved the actress, and this made her, Sunanda, feel jealous.
She has more to add, but Naresh stops her midway. She begins telling him she loves him and that he should not let go of this golden chance since it is probably the first in his life that a girl is proposing to him instead of vice versa. She even asks him to forget the girl he loves. Naresh looks at his right arm and says something:
“So I lost my right hand for a girl like you? I guess it really wasn’t worth it after all.”
Sunanda starts feeling guilty. She reaches out for his arm, but is pushed back by Naresh, who tearfully tells her to stop acting and surrender to the police. Sunanda says she won’t. “Not even if there is evidence against you?” asks Naresh. “What evidence?” asks Sunanda. Naresh tells her he has evidence against her handed over to him by a detective hired by Deepak’s father. Indu is surprised and wonders if Naresh is making up a story. Naresh then comes up with an idea that should satisfy both sides. He confesses to her about killing Deepak, Rajan and his henchmen and decides to keep her secret about killing the actress a secret, as long she keeps his secret a secret.
Although a bit hesitant initially, Sunanda agrees. She promises to leave the town and never appear in front of him. She, however, tells him she can’t stop loving him and that she would always wait for him to return to her someday. Naresh and Indu leave the rendezvous. Sunanda goes to her room at a hotel, teary-eyed and regretful. Naresh wonders why Sunanda left him earlier if she really loved him so much.
Naresh and Indu return to the hotel and turn on the television, only to discover Sunanda has surrendered herself to the cops and has nothing more to add besides the confession that she indeed killed the actress. Naresh doesn’t understand her again, and wonders if it’s better this way. He smiles, feeling the poor actress’s soul might finally find some peace.
Naresh and Indu board the returning train the next day. Naresh is looking at his phone, and notices Indu looking at a couple holding hands. As the horn blows, Naresh puts down his phone and raises his left hand. Indu looks at him. Naresh makes a poker face and stares at her, only to smile and signal her to hold his hand. Indu smiles and holds the hand. Her smile grows bigger when Naresh kisses her hand and finally succeeds in saying this to a girl for the first time:
“I love you.”
“A heart finally found the one,
With which it always wanted to beat.
The day it found love was the day,
It won and didn’t face defeat.”
