🏃Clark's POV🏃
I stood on an escalator and let the machine carry me and a number of other people up from the Train platform to the ground level.
I pulled out my phone and tapped on Liam's contact. My smartphone called him and I held it up to my ear as I waited for him to answer.
I was now walking through the groups of people and making my way towards the exit of the station when the ringing finally stopped.
"Hey, babe, where are you?" Liam asked warmly. I could hear his smile through the phone and it made my heart thump to know that it was all directed towards me.
"I'm just leaving the train station, it should only take me, what, ten minutes to get to the roller skating rink so I'll be there soon. And hey to you too." I told him, adding the hey as an afterthought. Liam chuckled and I smiled at the sound.
I made it out of the train station and started walking up to the roller skating rink.
"I'm glad that you actually remembered to say hi this time. Last time we talked you just said 'Liam' and thought that that was enough." Liam joked with a laugh. I guffawed and that seemed to make him laugh even harder.
"Oh, come one, Liam. That is a lie!" I complained as I crossed the street. "I almost never forget!"
Liam went "ah ha!" and I realized my mistake.
"Almost? Damn Clark." Liam teased me and I found myself huffing.
"Shut up." I mumbled into the phone. I could see the roller rink coming into view and Liam standing with his phone pressed against his ear in front of it.
"Why? Are you blushing too hard Clark?" Liam asked me innocently, causing my cheeks to start heating up.
"No, I wasn't blushing until you said that!" I argued. Liam laughed again and I fought a smile. "Shut up."
"No, or better yet make me."
I quieted my steps when I got close behind him.
"Fine." I agreed, saying the words as quietly as possible.
Liam seemed to hear me and started to turn around but before he could react on his own I grabbed his shoulders, fully turning him around and planting a kiss on his lips.
Liam let out a startled noise before relaxing into the kiss. It was supposed to be sweet and innocent but the kiss lingered, then started to heat up.
I tilted my head at an angle and opened my mouth, Liam took the invitation and slipped his wet tongue into my mouth. Our tongues fought against one another before I finally relented and let him take control, he ran the muscle along the roof of my mouth and my body shivered because of the sensation.
I started to kiss him with even more energy and he returned with even more of his own, I ran my fingers into the back of his and his hands that were rested on my hips gripped tighter.
Liam was about to put his hands up my shirt when I finally stopped him. I pulled away and we were both breathing hard.
"Sorry, that wasn't how I planned it to go." I told Liam apologetically. Liam and I had been dating for almost a month and we rarely did anything sexual. We kissed, yes, and even occasionally made out, but this had to be the most heated make-out session we had ever had. And it was in public.
Liam shook his head and just smiled softly.
"Don't worry about it, I definitely don't mind." He assured me, reaching out to take my right hand. "Let's go inside, I actually do want to go roller skating with you if you don't mind."
I beamed up at Liam and shook my head.
"I don't mind at all."
With that confirmation, Liam led me inside.
—————
"Shit!" I gasped as my butt plummeted to the floor. The fall was fast and pretty painful, while I was groaning and rubbing my ass, Liam was laughing and grabbing my hand to pull me back upright.
Roller skating was a lot harder than it looked. I did figure skating in British Columbia when I was younger yet I found myself completely uncomfortable. I should have been more comfortable with it than ice skating because we were on the smooth, tiled floor and not ice and there were much fewer people so there was less of a chance to bump into someone and die.
But, I still found myself clinging on to Liam's arm or falling onto the ground. Liam teased me endlessly for it because of his knowledge of my ice skating background. It was especially infuriating to see him so comfortable while I struggled.
Apart from that though, it was actually quite fun, when I was clinging to Liam's arm, the two of us talked and laughed as we circled around the rink. Although I still fell down, Liam was so sweet every single time that he picked me back up.
We stayed at the rink for a while over an hour when Liam's stomach made its presence known.
We had both laughed and decided that it was time to find a place to eat. You would not believe the relief that I felt to be off if those skates and on my way to good food.
While Liam returned our skates and paid for the time we spent there after the first hour, I was online finding restaurants near us.
"Liam, there is a Greek restaurant not too far from here that sells Gyros. Do you want to eat there?" I asked Liam the moment that he made it back to me. Liam looked confused for a second and tilted his face to the side.
"What's a Gyro?" He asked so honestly and innocently that it broke my heart. My face was blank for a moment before I took his hand and dragged him out of the rink.
"Wait, Clark. What is it?" He asked again. I slowed down so that he could catch up before I went at my previous speed again.
"It is something delicious and amazing that you are going to eat for the first time tonight." I answered, looking up at Liam to send him a wink. "I think that you will love it."
Liam looked a little skeptical but instead of saying anything he squeezed my hand.
We talked about anything the roller skating rink while we were walking up to the restaurant, Liam was explaining why he was so good and his history with rollerblading when we got to the restaurant.
It seemed to be family owned but had clean, professional looking tables, waiting staff, and a good amount costumers. Even the sign was nice and I was glad that I chose the right place.
We walked into the restaurant when we entered there was a host, he was really nice and led us to a table. Seconds later our waiter was asking for our drink choices and laying out the menus.
"This place is really nice." Liam commented, impressed. "You're really good at picking restaurants, huh?"
I beamed at the compliment and gave Liam a smug expression.
"Of course I am, Liam. Now I am paying so go ham alright?" Liam didn't seem too sure about the going ham part but agreed and I smiled happily. "Good, and please consider getting the Gyro, it would be a lot easier for you to eat it now instead of me having to get one for you again later."
Liam didn't give me an answer to my last request so I hoped that the puppy dog eyes and the long stare that I was dishing his way would at least guilt him into getting the wrap.
When we ordered I was happy to hear him ordering the classic Gyro and I decided to be fancy and get the spicy version.
The food was fantastic and Liam once again had to give me credit for my great food choices. I loved the spicy Gyro but I still had a soft spot for the original and ended up ordering two more classics to-go, one for me and one for Ethan.
After our meal, we both thought that it was finally time to go. We got to the train station and luckily were on the same train for a hand full of stations before I had to get off.
I started to get up but Liam took my hand and pulled me down into a short but incredibly sweet kiss.
"Bye, Clark." He mumbled against my lips hotly.
"Bye." I whispered back, smiling at my boyfriend as I got off the train. I walked away with a huge smile on my face.

3rd Person's POV
Santiago walked into the No-Frills with a shopping list open on the Google Keep app on his phone. He was getting some personal groceries for himself and some for Ms. Caroline, the mother of the family that he was staying with. She wanted some Milk and Eggs for the kids so he had to pick those up for her as well.
He was happy that there was a No-Frills so close to their place because it made shopping that much easier. No-Frills was the cheapest grocery store that Santiago had ever been to and as a college student, facts like that were very important when it came to deciding where you would get your next meal.
He grabbed a shopping cart, sliding in the quarter that he needed for it, and then took it inside of the store. It was 2 in the afternoon on a school day so it was moderately empty, making it even easier for Santiago to shop.
He walked through the aisles in a relaxed manner, he had been to this store dozens of times before and found it almost relaxing to walk down through the store.
He stood in front of the yogurt and went to grab the No Name brand when he noticed someone out of the corner of his eye.
The man was walking down the aisle with a handheld basket. He was taller yet shorter than Santiago, standing at 5'11 with an athletic build and wide shoulders.
He was wearing a pair of light blue jeans that were loose on his legs, a black V-neck T-shirt and a gold necklace with a cross on it. He had a sharp jawline that was covered in scruff and blonde hair that was short at the sides and so long at the top that he just swooped it all back to keep it away from his face.
The man had hazel eyes but they weren't shining brightly as you would expect. His expression was dark and urged you to keep away.
Santiago got a bad feeling when he was close to the man and he wondered where it came from.
Santiago was still confused when the man looked up and after his gaze briefly went to some meat that was at eye level his eyes met Santiago's.
The two stared at each other for a moment. The man looked away first and Santiago followed suit.
Santiago grabbed the tub of yogurt, gently dropped it into his cart and went on his way.
Neither man knew how close in age they were, neither did they know how closely their lives tied together.
But they would soon.
And unfortunately, that would be very, very soon.
