My mom really wants me to fall in love again, but that's not gonna happen. The person I have my sights on is DEFINITELY out of my league. Anyway, as I was gathering up my stuff getting ready to leave to head to the theater, I realized I could stop at the security guards office. Surely they had cameras in my hallway and could figure out who left the flowers. I grabbed my bag, made sure I had my phone, wallet, keys, and ID card, and left my apartment. Once I got to the security guards office I knocked on the door of the head of security for our building, Jackson Greene. He answered and I asked him to look through the video footage from last night and text me if he saw anyone by my door. He agreed, and I headed out to the theater. As soon as I got there, I was bombarded with hugs from my castmates, and a string of questions from my bestie, Maddy. "OMG Lizzie!! We heard your apartment was broken into last night! Are you okay? Tell us about your secret admirer!!" She blinked rapidly at me, waiting for an answer. "Hello to you too, Mads." I said, laughing. "Oops, sorry! Hi Lizzie!" she said. "Now, answers!!!" I sighed and said, "Who told you about the flowers?" "Your mom, of course. Who else?" she answered. I slapped my forehead. Of course my mom would contact Maddy as soon as I hung up. Maddy and my mom are really tight, but I really didn't want anyone else knowing. I wanted to live my life without everyone asking about my house's security. "I have no clue who left the flowers. There's no evidence of my place being broken into. I asked the head security guard to look at the cameras and text me if he found anything." I said. "Lizzie! If you had listened to your mom you'd be able to see who it was!" she exclaimed, rolling her eyes. Just then, my phone dinged. I looked and it was a text from Jackson. "Well? Did he find anything?" she asked me, inching closer to look over my shoulder. "No. He said he didn't see anything on his cameras." I responded, hardly believing the news myself. "Girls! Get into costume and go get your makeup and hair done! We have to rehearse before it's too late!!" our director, Zoey shouted at us. I waved to Maddy and headed to my dressing room, where the makeup artist was already waiting, brush in hand, for me to show up.
