Melokuhle
It is a long Friday and a very hot one at that too, I am glad that I am now done for the day. The classes took too long to finish that I even doubted they’ll ever come to an end.
I am so ready to kick off my shoes and pour myself one glass of red wine and relax after all it is a Friday.
A bell hooted at me I looked behind, surprised no car has ever stopped for a girl like me.
“Hi.” The driver said and he is handsome, so handsome that I am surprised he would even wanna stop and talk to a girl like me, I scrawny, I have no wide hips, I have a flat bum the only thing that i have are these big breasts. I have always self conscious about my look. People have called me names all my life, some would had told me straight on my face how I look malnourished.
I never once thought myself as being beautiful, I am just an okay for a human being that I don't even care how I look anymore, well that is until this guy stopped and talked to me. Now I wonder how I look, is my hair neat? i cuss at myself mentally for wearing this ugly green top with these leggings.
I was just in a hurry to get out in the morning that I just threw on whatever I could not that I minded much but now standing here and looking at this guy makes me wish I had taken my time and chose something more appealing to the eye.
“I’m lost.” He said in a deep yet seductive voice.
I knew better than to talk to strangers let alone walk near to their car. My dad would have been really disappointed in me if he saw me right now. But he is not here to scold at me and look at me in judgemental eyes, the fear of talking to strangers had flied out of the window.
I could not even stop my feet from walking towards the car, it is like I wanted to be near him, I want get a closer look at him. Who knows I might never get this opportunity again of talking to such a handsome guy, I might as well take advantage of the moment.
It is rare to find a guy like him talking to me, I can count in one hand how many guys have approached me. I am not a thick girl like the other girls and I wished I was, even though my mother tells me everyday how beautiful I am.
Sometimes it is hard to see how beautiful you are as a person if you don't feel like it and I don't feel like it, I haven't felt like it in a while.
“Where are you going?” I asked as I stepped closer to the open window.
Everything happened so fast, before I knew it a cloth was on my face and I sunk into unconsciousness the last thing I saw, was the handsome guy tying my hands.
As soon as I opened my eyes, I was hit by a splitting headache. I looked up, surprised to see myself in a dark room.
“You finally woke up.” It was the guy from the car, confused I looked at where I was my eyes failed to adjust but one thing I knew was that I was in a bedroom, the guy stood up and went to open the curtains just a little bit to let in a bit of sunshine rays in and my suspicions were confirmed, I was in a some kind of a bedroom.
“Melokuhle right?”
I nodded as I wriggled my hands from my behind trying to get free from the rope.
“I’m Melusi,” he said as he took as he sat down at the only available chair and looked at me “I’m sorry to do this to you.” He continued “But your father owes me a whole lot of money.”
My heart started racing and my head was filled with a lot of questions, my father owed him money? How? My father owns so many businesses it didn’t make sense that he is owing someone money.
I shook my head in disbelief. Melusi opened his beer and took a huge gulp and looked at me “Your father owes me a whooping 10 Million rands.”
“Liar.”
Melusi laughed and stood up from his chair and came to stand besides the bed.
“My father will get me out of her.” I said almost screaming. A hot clap landed on my face “Shut up bitch.”
He looked at me with a little bit of disgust before he walked out.
Hot tears ran down my face, not understanding how my boring Friday afternoon turned into such a nightmare.
