How fitting for a dragon to name their child after a gemstone. I was gonna look up the associations of emerald, but I remembered that it's culturally relative, and even then it's totally arbitrary lmao so a search engine will say it's associated with everything under the sun and in the sea. More concretely, I wonder what great power Emerald has (or *provides* to the dragon??), being part of his hoard.

After all, how can one run-of-the-mill human child compare to the weapons of mass destruction, piles upon piles of gold, and stacks of ancient knowledge that sit in their own pantry?
