“And?” Ollie pushes, “You’ve got me on the edge of my seat!”
“We went to bed,” Vanessa shrugs while playing with her food.
“Ooo-”
“Separately!” Vanessa whacks the beta on his head.
“Ow! Sorry for hoping my best friend got laid-” Vanessa growls, whacking Ollie again, “I'm sorry!” Ollie laughs, trying his best to protect himself from the Alpha’s attack. “Okay, okay,” Ollie surrenders, “So, what did she say this morning?” Vanessa cringes, “You didn't talk to her?”
“No! What was I supposed to say? I want to have your babies?!” Vanessa yells, jumping at the hand that clasps her shoulder as Ollie chokes down a laugh.
“Morning,” Alex smiles down at her alpha, picking a strawberry off of Vanessa’s plate.
“Alex!” Vanessa jumps to her feet.
“Hi,” Alex’s smile widens as she takes a bite out of the strawberry, “You ready to get that cast off?” Vanessa frowns, confused as Alex nods down to her foot, “Your foot?”
“Oh!” Vanessa yells, “Yeah, I am.”
“Good, when do you want to leave?” Alex asks, setting the cap of the strawberry down on her Alpha’s plate.
“Leave?” Vanessa stumbles, feeling her heart drop to her stomach as Alex’s brow raises in suspicion, “Actually, I asked Ollie to take me, you don't mind do you?”
“No, problem,” Alex smiles, “I'll leave you two to it,” Alex nods, leaving the dining room.
“Really, Vanessa?” Ollie chides with a shake of his head.
“Beta Alex?” Meridith smiles, unable to keep a straight face at the sight of the Beta being swarmed by the children of the pack as she works to fix their soccer goal.
“Hi!” Alex waves, all the kids turning to wave with her.
“Heh, hi. What are you doing?” Mer asks, stepping closer to the circle of children.
“Fixing a soccer goal. A screw came loose,” Alex smiles, finishing with a twist of her wrist.
“I thought you’d be at the doctor's office with Alpha Vanessa.”
“Ollie took her instead,” Alex mumbles, her smile visibly dropping a bit.
“Oh…is there a reason why?” Mer prods leaning in towards the Beta, the kids following the Omega’s lead.
“She wanted me to have a day with these goofballs and some adults that aren't her,” Alex chuckles, standing.
“So, she's avoiding you?” Mer frowns.
“Yup,” the kids all say in unison.
