Djamor and Jon have found quite a few aliens to take back to the home being created for the mushroom-people, after searching for a few hours.. Now they're returning, while the volunteers and even a few of the aliens now search.
The ambassador and princess now ride a limo towards the newly erected shelter in North Carolina.. "Ooh! This is so exciting! I rarely get to speak to this many people even back home!" Djamor exclaims happily, "I can relate to this feeling.." Jon laughs "I work with my colleagues on day-to-day basis, and rarely deviate outside of this routine. This is so much more.. fulfilling, this is the best way I can describe this!". " Yes, I feel the same way!" she replies with a giggle, "Princess, I feel we must thank you again.." one of the Monterey adds, she and Jon turns towards him as he continued "We never thought this would go so well.. as for myself, even on our home world; I didn't have THIS many friends either!". " I'm so glad this helped, I hope we can bring more of us here soon! And start showing our home to them too!" she replies happily.. "This sounds weird to say now but.. I.. wish Ceres came with us, she's so secretive about who she's been seeing as soon as we arrived, and we rarely have seen her..." he reveals. "Skrub, she might just have found something she likes? It's natural here and at home for someone to have something they like, but not tell anybody if they think they'd be made fun of at all.." Djamor reminds him..
"Speaking of which.." Jon jumps in "What is your planet like? Eukar has to be very different from Earth..". "Oh, Eukar is surprisingly somewhat similar... of course, it's not nearly as warm as Earth, or blinding, but our botanical life is like a.. Same-difference, um..." Djamor starts... Jon wonders at her, she seems to be afraid to reveal something more about their world... "Princess, I don't want to pry too much... But is there something important I should know? Should we all be aware of something that could be dangerous?" Jon asks in some fear.. She then sighs sharply and starts to explain "It's something I wanted to get out of the way, something awkward... you know how there's... smaller versions of.. our people, that.. you eat?". Jon is confused at first, but realized and answers: "Mushrooms? I thought this would be a problem, and assured nobody ate any around your people!".. "Yes, thank you so much!" Djamor replies "And, that.. that's the thing.. our planet grows flesh, as yours grow fungi. It's a normal sight and food there..." she uneasily revealed! Jon started to look pale; there's human shaped parts growing on their planet?! "B,but this is a unfortunate aspect of both of our planets, we hope to rid these from both worlds... and hopefully overlook those coincidental situations so that we can live in unity!" Djamor finishes sheepishly with a wry smile... "I, I hope we can too..." Jon agrees in some fear..
Later, when they get to the shelter: the group of Aliens and the NASA scientists now walk into a very dimly lit area, filled with more aliens and human volunteers..... Earthly mycelium seem to have stretch all around the walls and ground as there's no floor in this building, only the dirt which is soft and fuzzy like new carpeting... "Ah, it's looking better and better!" Djamor exclaims! "Really?" Jon asks "I've meant to ask, how can you see in here? Are our eyesights the same at all then?". She turns towards him as she walks backwards " Yes, yes... Except it IS very bright to us here in the daytime, luckily our caps makes it easy to shield our eyes from your sun! And at night it's very different than what your night vision technology would be able to show!".. Jon wonders aloud "I guess you saw much more of us and our technology than I thought; how does it look then? If you don't need to use light to see?", she then reveals "It never gets dark, we can only tell when it's night when the planet has rotated to reveal the moon! But other than that, there's no big change for us!". Jon is amazed at hearing this; in all human history, at no point are the aliens unable to see and sun is seen as a slight inconvenience to them if anything.
Another (Lactarius Indigo looking) alien passes them and notices the princess "Your majesty!" he starts, getting her attention "I.. believe I want to start on our endeavor to unite with a human! Might I pursue this wish?" he asked in so much respect .. "Of course, Nosefir, you could be the leader who show us all how easy this plan can be! What has caused this sudden courage though?" the princess replies with a question. "The volunteers and few others are so nice to us, maybe some humans ARE already ready to accept us.. only... I think most of them here are bound to a partner, or unwilling to mate?" he explains his thoughts..
"Um, that is.. another thing, on top of our already destroying our own planet.. not to butt in, but some people even believe Earth is overcrowded..." Jon adds "Many people have goals and/or have natures that are directly against the concept if mating. Intentional or not: it's difficult for people here to even make friends with each other now days.". "Oh.. will we be able to unite then?" Nosefir asks.. "Of course, he only told us about a few humans and they should still have room enough here to care for us, especially after we take some of them to Eucar! Whenever you're ready, you have my support!" Djamor says happily! Her brother overheard them from afar "Nosefir, correct?" he asks in a somewhat friendly tone "You have my best wishes too.. The only thing me and my sister completely agree on is: that it will take a major change to save either planet. I hope you do become a good example for us all!". " Th,thank you both!" Nosefir replies in surprise, then leaves to explore North Carolina outside of the shelter!
During this time, Quincy has been on his friend's ranch; helping out with the livestock.. Until now; when they have ridden out into a empty field... "Whoa..." Cordell commands his horse.. "Looks like they're tired." Quincy says as he looks at his "....They should be ready 'case somethin' happens...". " Are you talking about if those Mushrooms come down right here?" Cordell asks.. "..I know I bring it up all tha time, but..." Quincy started, but his friend cuts him off "Look Quince; you can't keep obsessing over those thangs.. You screwed up alot 'round here because you keep worryin' about them!" Cordell replied angrily! Quincy turns his horse towards him "You didn't see what I did!!" he retorts, "No, I haven't! But I'm not going to keep being scared until I do, then become obsessed with it! Honestly I know I'd be scared to death too!" Cordell yells back "But I know I'd try to get over it!". Quincy retorted in slight surprise; "Not you too!? You were acting so normal before!", Cordell then explained in anger "Nothing changed, Quince! I'm just not obsessive!". Quincy himself looks away in annoyance and then back at him "It's NOT obsession, it's the fact that our world leaders let MONSTERS on the planet!" he emphatically yelled! "Listen to yerself! Those things, those Mushrooms; aren't doin' anything wrong... sure, yeah; they look..they ARE freaks, but you can't judge them from how they look! And yeah, we shouldn't assume they're evil killers, because there's a such thing called `Innocent until proven guilty ` You can't blame them thangs for something they haven't done!" Cordell says with annoyance... Quincy stares at him in utter surprise and realization... then looks away.. and says wryly; " L,let's go back...". The cowboys ride back to the ranch....
It rains again, sending down more mushrooms.. now they arrive with the intention of finding human rulers and Jon.... Nosfir though, ignores more of his people coming and focuses solely on trying to speak with humans, but most ignore or are horrifically afraid of him... so he returns back to the shelter alone...
But is stopped by a woman suddenly approaching him quickly... "Hey..", she starts. The mushroom-alien turns around in surprise "Hey? Might I help you?" he asks with complete shock.. "You're one of those aliens, right? Like, you're not one of those cosplayers?" she questioned, looking around the alien.. "Cosplayer?" he replied in wonder.. "Oh, I guess that's a `no`?" she asks with a laugh.. "So if I heard right, you guys are tryna get laid, right?". "?? You mean Union! Yes, of course! ...You actually want to?" Nosfir asks in surprise, "I've been looking for something new... and your people came at the right time..." the woman reveals seductively... She then gestures him to follow her, and he does...
