In the RoseField graveyard lie the secrets of those who can no longer speak.
So many bodies, so many stories and while we cannot explore each one there is one person in particular I would like to talk about.
A person who is identified in the graveyard as grave number 234 and in the papers identified as "The bathtub girl"
Within the pages of this book lie her story and the story of her girlfriend or as she is more famously known as "the bathtub girl's killer" along with various other people's life story being intertwinned.
This is not a work of fiction, but a chronicle of truth. It is a collection of voices silenced by circumstance, hearts silenced by the cruelty of fate.
I am but a humble writer, a seeker of truth and a bearer of stories untold. Over this year I have painstakingly crafted this beautiful story or rather a painting of the truth.
What I present to you through this book is a tapestry woven from the threads of the past—a tapestry of lives intertwined by love and tragedy.
I have also collected other documents and evidence, all included here, piecing together the puzzle of each life extinguished prematurely.
I have sought the living, the survivors left behind to bear the weight of grief, and have listened to their stories but mainly I aim to bring about the story of a woman brought down by the false narratives created around her and the pre-concieved ideas people have of people who 'look like her'.
It is my solemn duty to bring the voice of Ayomi Taylors to life once more, to shed light on the darkness that once shrouded her. Each diary entry, is a testament to the tenacity of the human spirit, an indelible mark left on the pages of history and I have also included my own thoughts and reflections to make my views and thoughts completely transparent.
Let the diaries speak, let the investigation unveil, and let the interviews echo through the ages. For in these pages, we shall bear witness to the side hidden from us by the people who are supposed to show us the truth and if you are moved, let us band together and we shall seek justice for a woman who was crushed by these false accusations- Mara Wrights.
This is the story of Mara and Ayomi.
