CONTINUED...

Early this morning; civilians lived normally... the government's keeping quiet on their actions against the Mushrooms, while expecting an attack in the distant future...  The US and other nations have the military training, and are communicating in the background as scientists all around the world are making heat based weapons that will surely incinerate the aliens.. though, this seems like a horror that wouldn't happen soon.. if at all... there was no proclamation of war and the Mushrooms seemed to frail to be a serious threat.. Besides easily capturing and eating them; humans intentionally and unintentionally shattered their fruit-bodies too easily on many occasions... physical interactions were always very dangerous..... But most were gone by the time talk of war arrived, so it seems as if daily Earth lives would return to normal... 

Up until the final huge storm arrived! over the entirety of a little over half of the planet, making the sky and land black. Those who realized what was happening quickly grabbed their lights and either looked for shelter (if they weren't already hiding) or went out to find what was going on....

While the military burned away ships in random areas, civilians from all over escaped to shelters to avoid the Lion's head Mushrooms firing their long fangs at them and into the streets!!!! Quince is among VERY many who's driving to an shelter, but had an ominous feeling about his Best friend: Cordell! Unfortunately, he finds him frozen in Mycelium... the Cowboy doesn't want to get infected, so he begrudgingly leaves him there!!!

Quince drove down an fiery, damaged road! "Sh, shit..." he started "He's dead... d,d,did they get Stella too?! I can't even go back, that string stuff might get me too!". He then tries to get to the freeway, as he thought back... 

He was quite rough with people as he grew up, like his dad was with him.. and people in general are very cold... Even after he met his wife, he often worried her after she moved out with him, and he started becoming more and more antagonistic against the Aliens until he injured Champi..... Even when she forgave him, the memory of what he did made him `feel an crack` in his side also.... "What the friggin heck am I thinking!!? I need to get to Mina, this ain't no time to be second guessing my damned self!" he thought out loud, and sped down the street.. until he noticed Tito's pickup truck!!! "Tito!!" he calls out, trying to see if he was okay and/or being denied access to a shelter! Fortunately, the man looks through his window "Quince!?" he called out, but an Lion's Head shaped-alien shoots through his truck!!! "SHIT!" Quince cursed and tried to speed to him, but the Mycelium started to eat the cars around them, signaling for the cowboy to swerve away!!!!

He speeds faster down the nearly empty streets, fortunately; before he got there people either stayed inside, got to a shelter... or are already dead; Quince raced over many bodies covered in mushrooms as he tried getting to the shelter!! Quince then hears a sizzling and melting sound... it's the Aminita mushroom spores eating through everything, including his truck!!!

Miles away in North Carolina, Lucy hid in her basement as sounds of horror went on outside and around her!!! "What the hell!? What the hell!? Why're they so crazy!!!? It's like they NEVER...." she thought in a fear but...her thought's interrupted via a loud crash!!! Then sees Mycelium growing from the walls around her lit up basement!! She then ran upstairs; too afraid to stay down there and see if she could ward off whatever was coming for her!!! But.. she runs right into the hands of an Alien that looks like an Destroying Angel stands before her!!! "AAAAAAH!" Lucy screamed in terror; his angry black eyes are far different than what she was used to during her time with Nosfir! "You, you're the one who broken one of ours during your union!! You betray one of ours in the midst of such a close and intimate time; for that, you deserve death!" he says angrily, Lucy snapped out of her terror and tried to run, but he quickly snatched her up; unlike most other mushroom-aliens; he EASILY lifted her up over his head without any technology helping him!!!

Something was disturbing about the Destroying Angel Mushrooms: their power far exceeded the strength of others; and their overwhelming hatred can be felt as long as one was anywhere near them.... Lucy almost hits at his arm, expecting to break loose...  but something told her if she touched his actual skin (instead of him lifting her/touching her clothing) it could be much worse, so she tries to wriggle out of her shirt.. until they both heard "Metatton; you're needed elsewhere, I'll finish the neighborhood...". "Oh, so you decided to take revenge after all huh?" the Destroying Angel asked with an smirk.. then drops her and leaves... Lucy staggers to her feet, ...she certainly couldn't run out the same way he's going; this same moment allowed her to think for an moment though... "`revenge`? Nosfir?" she wonders.. "Nosfir, is that you!?" she calls out! When spores burn through the ceiling!! The woman freaks and tries to run outside, but the Mycelium already had grown around her feet, and stopped her!! "Nosfir, i,if that's you; D,don't do this!!!" she screams out!!! But... the spores spread out into Mycelium and wraps around her...  an few minutes after this, a SWAT soldier suddenly runs into her hone and is terrified at the site of the crying/scared woman frozen in place!!! 

Meanwhile... above her house, on an skyscraper; Nosfir looks down at her home... with an Aminita cap on his head instead... "If only I could tell you..." he says with stress and sadness, then leaves....

Back in Huston: Harker and a group of soldiers ran to an base quickly set up for refueling their weapons! "There it is!!" he shouted, the soldiers near the base, but are immediately shot and killed "What the hell!!!?" Harker yelled in anger, "The aliens, they're controlling it!?" a soldier suggested as he pointed to the Mycelium on the side of it.. "Maybe that stuff is also an conscious extension of them?". "Dr Seward never mentioned they could do anything with machines!!" Harker shouted and started to run  "Fall back, it's not just a AI th..." he's suddenly shot along with many others, but one soldier managed to get near the base and sets a fire!!! It burns the Mycelium somewhat quickly, but not before it catches him in it; leaving him to be caught in an explosion!!! " Sh,shit!" the last soldier yelled in horror! "But, we need something.. there has to be some gas left!" he says as if everybody didn't get killed a few seconds ago, then runs to grab an tank on the ground.. and runs away before the sparks hit another tank; causing another huge explosion!!!

He gets to the others; "The, they... got past the auto-turret..." the soldier started, but sees the others are already poisoned, and Jon's being covered in Mycelium!!!! He tried to fire his weapon but it's already covered too: the mycelium spawns parasitic mushrooms, while the scientist is still the only captured human simply encased in Mycelium...

Back with Quincy, he nears the shelter when Aminita mushrooms suddenly burn away the entire area in front of him; Destroying Angels then near his truck, having closed him and everybody else from getting on or off the road!! Quince gets out of his truck, as Mycelium covers the shelter and screams come from inside! Others start shooting and brawling the aliens in anger and desperation, but were covered in parasitic mushrooms too! Quince himself sighs in horror and hopelessness... then drops to his knees.... "What did I do? Was it that truck I stole? That girl's who heart I broke? The food I stole? Bein' racist at first? I was caught, I paid for the food.. I'm friends with Shelly now, and I wasn't really racist: I became friends with Tito... if it's the Mushrooms... I kinda talked to them too....... Why?! You took my friend... my wife.. why!?" he yelled at the skies.. he's then picked up by his collar.. "You will pay for what you've done; you snuffed out many innocent people for your friends' sick pleasure..." a  Destroying Angel accused him in hate..Quince almost reflectivity reached for his gun... but ...there's no one left to live for.. so he lets his arm down... "Y..you're not worth it..." the Mushroom says upon seeing this, then sighs and drops him.the cowboy..

...Quince sighs and nearly breaks into tears, he'd be stuck living without the people he cared about and loved.... until... Mycelium covers him too, freezing him in place on his knees...
