On a planet called Xinzauriaa, whose surface is five times larger than the Earth, live creatures, some more impressive than others. Some are made of and endowed with magic, others are only endowed with magic, and still others simply have no connection with it. And, in a very small minority, around two percent of them have a human appearance.
These creatures enjoy extraordinary landscapes: forests so dense you can hardly see the sky, some made up of trees and firs, others of plants most of which are still unknown; rivers that are almost peaceful and others as wild as they are dangerous, some of which run through the sky here and there; deserts with burning sand but others with icy sand, even during the day; endless seas and oceans whose flora and fauna are as rich as on land; a sky whose colors vary according to the geographical area and the time of day. Finally, in addition to the islands scattered throughout, there are floating islands in the sky, some of which are several thousand hectares in size.
Although the creatures are all particularly interesting for their morphological originality and physical abilities. Those known as divine creatures or beasts are on another level. While some are frightening, others are like a daydream. And these have taken on the role of ensuring the well-being of flora and fauna and the proper functioning of the cycle of life. Some play an active role, becoming an integral part of the elements. For example, some are made of water magic, and will feed the flora that needs it in times of drought, or randomly as they pass. But other creatures, generally larger than these, will intervene in the event of conflict, non-respect of territories or natural disasters that threaten a large number of living beings.
There are several species of creature, each with its own specific role and capabilities. Some species are smaller in number to ensure overall balance, but also in terms of magic balance. Consequently, the more powerful a species is in terms of magic, the smaller the number of individuals it comprises. And in one of them, something happened that changed the history and balance of life. For where there is light, there is darkness.
One fine day, as if it was a fine day, one of the floating islands began to emit negative, unpleasant waves. Several witnesses saw an apparently wounded Lamiral fall from the darkened sky. At the same time, others saw an egg-like object fall as if from nowhere. But the egg was apparently cracked, as it gave off energy of an aurora-like color, sometimes even golden, as it fell.
No one knows what happened. But one name rang out in everyone's mind: Gruwel. And at the mention of this name, a feeling of unease mixed with disgust was felt. Days passed, but no creature knew what had become of the egg or the Lamiral. Yet this species was known to be powerful.
Indeed, Lamiral, also known as Akull dreki, more or less resembles a white lion with bluish highlights, a blue like that found in larimar stone. They have long ears with lynx-like tips, powerful wings with silky feathers and a dragon-like tail. Beyond their incredible appearance, they have several abilities that make them a rather rare species. Indeed, most of them have an affinity with the element of ice, but that's not their greatest attribute. They have the ability to change shape to adopt a more dragon-like morphology. This allows them to deploy more magical power. And some individuals can even turn their white skin black in anger. They generally lived in small groups of two or three couples, with or without a young. They were most often found on airborne islands in the four corners of the planet.
The island itself seemed lifeless. Creatures able to fly witnessed a dismal spectacle as they flew by or around it. Vegetation had become dull and dehydrated, the decaying carcasses of its former tenants and all water sources, including the waterfall, had dried up. Despite the sense of death and despair this sight offered, it was here that our story came to life.
