I adore the opening narration with the mother figuring out she's dreaminf, and how much love she has for her daughter. Then there's Dreamer being frightening to her- even in a more "human" form- but with him having cracked hands give him a sense of vulnerability. He feels and looks disarming, which is probably the point of this appearance so he can talk to her. Though him making a deal to stop eating their dreams certainly put her in the mood to listen. Can't wait to see what they will discuss about Rivka. Thank you for the fun chapter. Take care.

Rivka is a maladaptive daydreamer.
