I loved that panelling for that super drawn out moment with Aiden and Onyx. It's such a difficult situation and you can feel Onyx being so prepared to fight about it and being left with nothing to do with that energy now that Aiden just agreed. Just intense feeling of "what am I even supposed to do" from both of them.
Mitch.... Mitch is so creepy. That final page with the stare between him and Roger.... Absolutely foul energies going on here. It definitely hurt a lot to see him reject Roger, but man can't exactly blame him for feeling suffocated right now. Super curious to see how he'll react to being asked to care for Covin. It's presumably the first time in a loooong time that they've seen each other. We haven't really seen much of how Covin thinks of Dom at this stage. And Aiden's putting on a brave face about it now but how long will he be able to keep from lashing out? Really good chapter!
Aiden, Onyx, Dominic and Covin are four losers in their mid-20s content with just getting by. Saddled with present adult obligations and weighed down by past childhood traumas, they desperately try to live their lives while keeping a Pandora's box of long-buried secrets from ruining what little joy they have.
