Looking back, my days before Christ

were spent in a house that was quite the sight, but had no light

All it had was its massive size

which was filled copiously with my tormented cries

You called a weak sinner to repent

I thought the house was fine, I didn't know of my imminent descent.

After seeing its decrepit look, I dove into Your Holy Book

Conviction of my ways did not let me off the hook

 but there was a truth that brought solace to me that I took

 Despite all wrongs and times listening to ungodly songs, Jesus still called and would forgive me.

He would accept me cheerfully and give me the keys to

a new home, have a new heart, housing the Holy Spirit
