Abandon's attention was glued to Yuki and Den's fight. He was curious to see the capabilities of Calista's precious pupil, and although Yuki had emerged victorious, Abaddon wasn't fully convinced.
It was odd for gods to have chosen pupils, yet Calista went to such great lengths for Yuki.
Abaddon truly couldn't understand it. But Calista was truly a mystery to all, sometimes Abaddon wondered if even Lucifer had an inkling of who she was.
He watched silently as Kurai guided Den off the battlefield to indicate her loss. Den took a seat on the porch steps beside Keiko and Nyoko as they awaited a winner amongst the group.
Abaddon glanced at the three women on the steps before looking back at the battlefield. It appeared that Yuki and Isao had found each other, and Isao didn't hesitate to overwhelm Yuki with quick powerful blows with his Bo Staff before she could regain energy.
Yuki took quick deep breaths as she tried to dodge Isao's attacks. She was running low on energy, and every second it grew harder to keep up with him.
Once Isao realized that Yuki was more focused on his bo staff, he quickly speared it through the air by her head to shift her attention. When she adverted her gaze from him Isao swiftly hopped up and with all his strength roundhouse kicked her across the head, causing her to slam into a tree not too far from her previous location.
Yuki groaned as a tight pounding sensation in her head drove her to anger. "Alright, if that's how you wanna play it," Yuki mumbled angrily as bits of black smoke poured from the new wound on her forehead. It wasn't big enough to be a struggle to heal from, but it still cost energy.
But now that Yuki was upset, her willpower could pull her through the drained feeling clouding her head. Yuki steadied herself and before she could attack Isao with the back of her katana she froze when she noticed a large cloud of dark blue smoke where Hiro was prior.
The last time she saw such a cloud, Seina died saving her. Yuki tensed up before quickly running past Isao, and without hesitation, Isao followed after.
He didn't know what the smoke was, but he could tell by Yuki's behavior that something was wrong. The two of them only halted in their movements when a large shadow quickly moved past them into the smoke.
A tree that was surrounded by the smoke shook as if something was slammed into it, and just like that the smoke cleared to reveal Abaddon pinning Hiro against the tree. Abaddon's eyes were dark as he glared at Hiro, his body was completely black and nearly transparent as if he was a standing shadow.
"What are you?" Abaddon yelled in a demanding tone. Hiro winced as Abaddon gripped his neck firmly. Seina was standing to the side, her breathing a bit heavy and her eyes wide.
"Let go of him asshole," Ryuji said coldly as he walked up to Abaddon and grabbed his wrist in an attempt to pry him away from Hiro. "I don't care what your status in hell is. If you hurt him I will kill you." Ryuji said bluntly, his unfaltering tone showing how serious he truly is.
"I'll let go of him if he answers my question," Abaddon responded, not loosening his grip in the slightest.
Yuki took a breath, this scene looked too familiar and it made her sick.
"There's no need to fight! Just relax and discuss things like adults. You are adults, aren't you?" Kurai called out to Ryuji and Abaddon before she stood in front of Yuki as if to cut her away from the potential conflict.
Abaddon and Ryuji looked at Kurai and pondered in thought for a few seconds before releasing their grip. "Fine. But you both have a lot of explaining to do," Abaddon attempted to sound calm but he failed to hide his irritation as his attention left Kurai and returned to Hiro and Ryuji.
