Buying books and art supplies

I always find something that I want or need at the local book store. They always sell books that look interesting, or pens and paper or sketchbooks.
Sadly recently I have been looking in my wallet and gotten a bad consciousness whenever I buy something that I don't really need at the moment. I have to start paying back my student loan soon and therefore I try to save whatever I have.
