The palace was quiet, way way too quiet…
Everyone was under the impression they would get punished for what happened but, I doubt it. From my understanding this estate alone is on the brink of losing all of its employees so there is no reason to fire anyone. With that I do remember a few of the employees that enjoyed the job but they felt more like friends to friends with Saul rather than boss to employee. One of these people was a very friendly maid named Mandy.
She's pretty timid but very caring for the people she knows. As I heard about her a little bit from Mi I never saw her until the fight between Mi and Saul. Honestly I was already scared when I saw Mi punch Saul into a walk but after Mi fainted and I yelled for help. Mandy looked like she was teleporting for the end of the hall to where I was and immediately rushed to Mi. Mandy clenched her lips trying not to get any angrier. Widening my eyes I'd never seen someone care for someone this much since I first came here. With no delay we both carried Mi and Saul to the clinic as Mandy left to find the doctor.
Waiting for her I was very anxious, my legs bounced in rhythm. As I tried not to bite my finger nails. I looked at the two unconscious bodies. Why? Why fight in the first place? I don't think either of them hold grudges toward each other. Or even hate each other but I can't be too sure, when they wake up I'll ask them separately. I don't want another fight to break out. Nodding my head in understanding the door opens as Mandy and the doctor walk in.
The doctor looked like a murderer. With two dark eye bags under his eyes. His hair was a complete mess. Standing up I also saw the hunchback on this guy. Raising on my hand I smile as I say hi. Shaking my hand he fixed his posture as he smiled at me.
“My name's Doctor Busers but call my doc for short.”
Who names their kid Busers?
Walking past me the doctor inspects both of them and gives an analysis. Pushing up his glasses he begins to speak.
“So they both have severe injuries, one Mi's burn on her face got reopened.” Staring to Mandy he says what will happen, “She is going to have a worse scar on her face but she will recover.”
As the doctor continues I feel Mandy makes the entire room go cold. “With Saul he will recover but with his wing right now he can’t fly until it heals in about 3 months.”
As the doc shakes his head Mandy stomps away as she slams the door.
Yelling roared through the other side of the door. My whole body shook from the sound as me and the doc stayed seated.
Opening my mouth in shock I look at the door then to the doc.
The Doctor nods his head confirming what I might be thinking.
“Yeah she really cares for Mi so don’t do anything bad to either of them.”
What is wrong with this estate? How can people fight for no reason?
…
Two days have passed and neither Saul nor Mi have woken up.
The entire estate was quieter. But more at peace everyone looked calmer…
Walking through the halls only the sound of my heels echoed.
Looking out the windows the outside was still surreal. The ground was a volcanic mess with small patches of grass breaking through the waste land. As lifeless trees hunched. The fog and smoke covered the lands like a dome. The only thing that was full of life through the fog and smoke was the bright red sun. Thinking more I realized the smoke and fog disappeared through the night. With the only thing there being the moon. No stars, comments, meteors. Nothing. Just the moon.
Walking into the training ground I went back over to the tree and sat down. The silence was deafening as I tried to focus. When I heard the gravel shuffle around, while getting slowly closer to me. Continuing to take deep breaths in and out the noise stopped. Opening my eyes I looked where the noise came from. Where 3 knights stood, 3 knights I slapped a few days ago. Meeting one of the knight's eyes he clenched his mouth as he frowned in disgust. It was quieter than ever as I stood there. My chest felt empty? Something boiled inside me. It was more than anger. I felt a quick and loud pulse in my heart then, my hands. my fingers. As the knight moved forward I snapped my neck to him. Jumping back his eyes dilated as he clenched his fist.
Moving with his words he yells in an angry tone, “YO FREAK GOT A PROBLEM? Cause it sure looks like it.” Hitting his chest he stomps toward me.
What was I feeling?
Standing next to me we both looked at each other. Glaring at me he placed his hand on my shoulder. Leaning in closely he starts whispering, “It doesn't matter if you're a rat on the street or the Queen on this land, I will make sure you have a slow death.” I felt shocked as I stared ahead of me as the distant voice calls. “Good luck, you'll need it.” Laughing maniacally as the second knight runs after him.
…
I felt confused but a big smile started forming across my face.
Hahaha-
HAHAHA-
My laughs bounced through the estate and the two knights for sure heard it.
Thinking back on what I felt, it wasn't just anger, shock, fear.
Giggling to myself I knew what it was, it was pure excitement.
