CW: body horror. The other night I dreamt that I had been infected with a parasitic fungus that colonised the brain resulting in a terminal illness. I donated my body to scientific research, letting the fungus grow in my brain so that scientists could research the progression of the pathogen. My conscious mind eventually died, and all I could feel was the sensation of touch. (1/2)
