Sorry that this is basically just...badly thought out exposition. Look, I drew a pretty house in the beginning without thinking about why tf a single person would ever make such a nonsensical financial decision except if they're, like, a billionaire, so I'm asking you to suspend your disbelief here lol. BUT it helped me think of Jackie's backstory so I guess there's some benefits...
