"I've been expecting you," Roseanne said, scowling. She threw a Friend Ball. "Go! Excadrill!" A molelike Pokémon was in front of Crystal, ready for battle.

Crystal's Lucario set foot in front of Excadrill. This can go one of two ways, since both Pokémon are weak to each other. 

"Begin!" the ref called out.

"Lucario! Use Shadow Claw!" she comnanded. Lucario's claw was surrounded in a shadowy aura as it ran towards Excadrill.

"Excadrill, use Metal Claw!" Roseanne retorted. Its claws turned into shining steel. They both slash at each other, pushing each other back. 

'This'll be tough!' Crystal though. 'If it uses a Ground-type move, I'm screwed! Hopefully, Lucario survives.' 

"Earthquake!" Roseanne commanded. Excradrill stomped on the ground, causing tremors and damaging Lucario! RMBL... RMBL! 

But days in Pokémon Camp allowed the Aura Pokémon to survive with one HP. 

Roseanne was taken aback. "What the hell?! How'd it just...?" 

"Whew. Now, Lucario! Use Aura Sphere!" 

Lucario  threw a blue ball with a white core at Excadrill. The opponent's eyes grew big, then... BOOM! When the smoke cleared, Excradrill was down for the count, letting Crystal advance to the next round.

Roseanne was pissed off. "You win this round! But if I was allowed to use more than one Pokémon, I damn woulda destroyed your team!" She stormed off, angry.

Crystal was silent.
