Lunchtime rolled around. Kuro and Crystal decided to eat together. Crystal was eating a chicken salad with Razz Berry dressing; Kuro was eating a Big Mc from McBurger (with just cheese). The garnet-eyed Trainer gave Litten some canned Veluza meat and some cream. 

"You know something, Crystal? I didn't know you had a battling spirit in you," Kuro started out. "Your Lucario luckily survived with 1 HP and retorted with a powerful Aura Sphere!"

"I didn't know you were a Kalos League Champion!" Crystal replied, surprised. "Wanna hear my backstory of how I caught my first Pokémon?"

"Riolu? You caught Riolu?" He raised his eyebrow. 

"No. It was a gift from my parents before they were poisoned and killed..." Her tone changed to a more sombre tone. "I do have some others I caught and trained. I have all but one Eeveelution (Sylveon), a Gardevoir, a Gallade, a Braixen, a Hisuian Zorua, a Turtonator, both forms of Lycanroc, an Alolan Ninetales, a Petilil, a Combusken, a Greninja, and an Arbok. Also, my Lucario can Mega Evolve." 

Kuro was surprised. he showed her the list of Pokémon he has. (I could list all the Pokémon he has if I wanted to.) "As far as as Mega Stones, I only have a Charizardite X. You could say I'm similar to Alain. So, what brings you from the Aura Kingdom to here?" 

"I wanted to build my Pokémon team, gain more experience, and find out who poisoned my parents with antiaurium," Crystal explained.

Lucario sighed, "I told you it was your... Ah, fuck it." 

"It was my adoptive sister, Violet. She did that because she was jealous of the fact I'm now heiress to the Sapphire Kingdom." She stabbed into a juicy tomato. "But I can't find her anywhere..." 

Lucario exclaimed, "Finally! You get it!" 

"Since we're gonna be Aura Warriors, maybe we can find her at some point..." Kuro put a French fry in his mouth and ate it. 

"I want to, but I wanna take her down myself. Only problem is once I turn her in, she'll be sentenced to death, provided she's old enough. As much as I feel anger towards her, I don't want her to get executed." 

Kuro ate the last of his heart disease-inducing sandwich. "I can't say I feel ya; I don't have a brother. My parents are looking to adopt a second child as we speak. They say the world is too dangerous for a second child." 

Crystal suggested, "Maybe you should try salad, or something healthier sometime. I have some dried Pecha Berries. Not trying to nag or anything. A salad is good when it's fresh. I eat more veggies than meat, despite the fact that this has chicken in it."

"Ah. I'm just not used to eating healthy. But my genetics make me look like I am." Kuro ate another fry. "I wonder who's the third person given an invite from Ash?" 

"Good question." She ate the last of her salad. "Hopefully, he/she is also an asset to the team. Wonder what missions we'll go on?" 

"Probably going after Team Rocket constantly. But who knows? We might travel to other regions and whatnot. I have wanted to go to Paldea at some point." 

The bell to end lunch rang. The same ref announced, "These are the next 4 battles: Drewson vs. Crystal; Kuro vs. 

Olaaf; Mildred vs. Andreas; and Moesha vs. Alania. Remember, only one Pokêmon! You can still use other ones in your possession."
