"Terastalize? What the hell is that?" Kuro raised his right eyebrow.

"It's where your Pokémon changes to a pure type. This gimmick is common in Paldea. Terastalization boosts move whatever type you change it to while keeping the STAB boosts of any corresponding type(s). Anyways, do you want the Tera Shard?"

Kuro thought for a second, and then he made his decision. "I'll take it! My Haxorus has been battered by Fairy-types. This could be an improvement!" 

The mysterious man gave him a Steel Tera Shard and a Tera Band. He left in the shadows. "Bring your Crystal friend by my office on Waterflower. I got a Tera Band for her as well."

Kuro took his Haxorus out its Poké Ball. "Hax-RAWR!" it cried in relief. 

Kuro gave it the Steel Tera Shard. He then put on his Tera Band. "I'm gonna use you in the next battle. Odd and creepy man, yes, but he gave me a new power-up. Gonna go get me some fudge!" 

......

Intermission was over. The referee got in his position. Crystal and Alania were called to the field. Alania was wearing black jeans and a shirt with Eevee on it. 

"You know, Crystal? While I like your moxie, you're still gonna get eliminated by me," she smirked in a Slavic accent. "Go! Liepard!" she called out, letting a leopard Pokémon outta its Great Ball. She appeared to have a Tera Band as well. 

Crystal threw a Poké Ball. "Go! Turtonator!" she commanded. A turtlelike Pokémon took to the field. 

"Turtonator," it called out, ready to teach this pussy cat a lesson. 

"Battle begin!" the ref called out. 

"Liepard! Use Fake Out!" Alania commanded. The leopardlike 'mon charged at Turtonator. It then clapped in its face, making it flinch!

Crystal gasped, 'I've never seen Fake Out in so long! I was not expecting that. Better think fast, or Alania's gonna take me for a damn ride!' she thought. 

"Now, use Night Slash!" the Russian commanded. Liepard's claws were covered with a black-and-scarlet aura. It rushed towards Turtonator in full speed. 

Crystal said to it, "Use Dragon Pulse and keep it at bay!" 

Turtonator fired a dragon-shaped, indigo-and-white aura at Liepard. It then tore through the aura, and slashed at Turtonator, knocking it off its feet. 

Crystal became worried for a bit. Then... 'She said her liepard is a physical attacker. I have one move to fix that issue!' she thought. 

Alania snickered. "Liepard's got your tongue, honey? Let's wrap this up. Use Giga Impact!" 

Kuro looked at what could happen. 'Oh, shit. I hope Crystal does something to stop Liepard from taking it out. Giga Impact is something serious. But if Turtonator survives, it'll have the upper hand, given that Giga Impact keeps the user form moving next turn if successful.'

Liepard started speeding towards Turtonator, being cloacked in a mauve energy, strewn with an orange spiral. It got closer and closer. 

"Use Shell Trap!" Crystal commanded. 

Turtonator's spikes on its back glowed orange. Once Liepard reached impact... KABOOOM!!! Liepard was taken aback by the exploding flames, losing the remainder of its HP, whereas Turtonator barely survived the Normal-type move. 

"Liepard is unable to battle! Turtonator is the winner, and the victory goes to Crystal from... wherever she's from!" 

Crystal hugged her turtlelike Pocket Monster. "You did a good job, Turtonator! Take a rest." She put it in its Poké

Ball. She then lied down on the ground, sighing in relief. "I thought we were gonna lose." 

.....

Kuro got on the field with his Haxorus, Laser Focus on facing Andreas. Andreas got on his side of the field as well. He was wearing a navy blue sweater and shorts. 

'Don't know why this guy's wearing a sweater in the summer... Let's just get this overwith.' He pet his Axe Jaw Pokémon, then he looked at his Tera Band. 'Don't fail me now.'

Andreas ended up with one as well. he took out an Ultra Ball. "Go! Slowbro!" he called out, sending out a Galarian Slowbro. It had a Water Tera Shard. 

"Battle begin!" the ref hawked once again. 

The two bbattlers pressed their Tera Bands. Both Pokémon were bathed in a blue light... then... BAM! Haxorus has a Steel tera Hat, whereas Slowbro has a Water one. They're both Crystalized. 

Kuro made the first move. "Haxorus! Use Dragon Dance!" 

Haxorus was bathed in a indigo, smokelike energy. It then did some majestic dance. The indigo energy disappeaed, as Haxorus's Attack and Speed were up. 

Andreas made the second move. "Use Liquidation!" 

A sword of water energy came outta Slowbro's shell arm. It charged at Haxorus. 

Kuro replied, "Counter with Dual Chop!" 

Haxorus's axe jaws glowed an indigo, bladelike aura. The two started trading swipes, striking each other a bit. Andreas smirked, "You're lucky Shell Side Arm is out the question. Use Psychic!"

Slowbro's eyes glowed magenta. It then sent waves of the same colour to damage Haxorus! But it only did chip damage, given that it's a Steel-type. 

"Now, let's use Liquidation again!" 

Slowbro charged at Haxorus, using the same method it used before. Kuro sighed. "Haxorus, use Iron Head!" 

Haxorus's head grew a jagged, steel pattern. It then ranned into the opponent, making it flinch! "Now, let's finish this off with Psycho Cut!" 

Haxorus's right tusk was bathed in a magenta, elongated, bladelike aura. And... SLASH! It slashed at slowbro, finishing it off. The shell-armed 'mon changed from its Tera Type to its corresponding types. 

Andreas sighed and put his hand out for a handshake. 'Well, you got me. I was hoping my Slowbro woulda decked Haxorus, but oh well."

Kuro gave him said handshake. "I didn't think my Haxorus would win; I was nervous about this new power-up. Maybe we could have a 6-on-6 battle at one point..." 

"Sounds like a plan!" Andreas walked off. "Now, I gotta get outta this sweater; it's getting hot as the dickens!" 

Kuro hugged his Haxorus. "Good job, H! You beat that tough opponent!"  

Kuro thought to himself, 'I'm gonna go to Paldea one day. I wanna get more Pokémon in my arsenal.'

As he went to go sit down, a guy who looked like Amethio but with blue violet hair was on a hill on the outskirts with a Ceruledge. "I wanna catch some of those Pokémon. Perrserker, Galarian Slowbro, Steel Tera Type Haxorus... I wanna catch 'em all, but I'm not Ash!"
