Chapter Ten

Willows POV

I pulled up to the place that was to be my new home, 'Is this going to be my new home.' I mused as I stared in amazement at the lavish, large home before me.

Before me, there stood a large three-story stone home. Blue Moon Wisteria Vines climbed along the 2nd and 3rd floors of the stone home, and yellow and white honeysuckle crept up the stone walls from the bottom to meet the Wisteria vines. There was a hand-carved, wooden, wrap-around porch. On the porch was a small round table with two rocking chairs next to it. One on each side. And a circular driveway.

I stepped outside my car in awe of the house's beauty and walked towards the front door. That's when I was roughly rammed by something, nearly knocking me to the ground. I tightly closed my eyes and braced myself for impact when a great wave of dizziness consumed me, 'Not now. Raven, you can't be the first person that they meet.' I said as Raven pushed her consciousness forward.

Raven's POV

Anger pulsed through me as I took over our body. Willow was always too kind and sweet to everyone. She would never put someone in their place, but they needed to know that no one would push us around.

"Are you okay? I wasn't  looking where I was going." Said a kind, deep voice.

I tightly clenched my teeth as I opened my eyes to see the man who had saved us from a nasty fall just after causing it. He was a tall, handsome man with dark black hair and ebony brown eyes. He had an aura that was a dark crimson-red color for the most part, except around his heart, which had a much darker essence to it. This indicated that there was something that was greatly bothering the attractive, hulking man before me.

Only one word left my lips as I shoved away from the strong, muscular man before me, "Alpha."

"That’s right, I'm Alpha Derrick. You must be Willow." He said, stretching out his hand towards me.

I shook my head, "Not exactly. " I said as I stared unamused at the hand he had extended towards me.

"That right, you're Raven. I'm sorry I didn't realize who you were. Your hair changing colors right before me should have tipped me off, but I have quite a bit on my mind now. I'm glad you are in control, Raven.” He motioned for me to follow him as he continued, “I think you might be able to help us more than Willow at this moment."

Two things let everyone know when I was in control. Those two things were the color of our hair and our eyes. When I was in control, our hair was black as night, and our eyes were a light seafoam green. When Willow was in control, our hair was a golden brown, and our eyes were an emerald green.

Alpha Derrick led me around the porch to the backyard, where a crowd of people and wolves stood.

"Are there any updates on Ren?" He asked one of the men standing closest to the tree line. This man's aura was nearly identical to Alpha Derrick’s, except the hue red was slightly lighter.

"Beta," I said more to myself than to those around me.

Alpha Derrick nodded, "That is correct; he is my beta, Jace."

Jace glared at me, "We don't  have time for pleasantries." His glare shifted to Alpha Derick, and his eyes softened moments later. I could only assume he was being put in his place via pack-link. "I am sorry, Raven. I'm just on edge since my little sister has gone missing. But from what Alpha Derrick tells me, you can help.

I raised an eyebrow, "Possibly. What was her last known location?"

"Her scent ends at the tree line, indicating that she entered the forest." Alpha Derrick said as he pointed to where this Ren girl entered the forest.

"And you are sure that it was her?" I questioned as both Alpha Derrick and Beta Jace spoke in unison.

"Yes, it is her scent."

"Oookay., I said as an involuntary shiver vibrated over my skin. Something about them speaking at the same time kind of wigged me out. "Do you have an item that is hers?" I asked as a beautiful older redhead handed me the charcoal gray hoodie that she had been tightly clutching.

"This was one of Serenity's favorite hoodies." She said as she wiped a tear from her peach, freckle-covered cheek.

"Okay, and who is Serenity?" I asked as I looked at her in confusion.

"We call her Ren," A young fourteen, no, maybe he was a fifteen-year-old, said as he ran his hand back through his reddish-brown hair.

I stared at him momentarily, wondering why he had a small section of hair in front that was completely white when it struck me: this kid is Quinn. He was the reason why we were sent here. He was the Seer we were meant to tutor.

"Please find my sister. I know that she is in so much pain." He stated as his bottom lip quivered ever so slightly.

"What did you see, Quinn," he seemed a little taken back by the fact that I knew his name, but it quickly passed.

He took a shaky breath and shook his head, staring at the ground. "I just got tiny clips of her." He looked up at me, tears brimming in his heterochromia eyes.

I hesitantly held out my hand, not wanting to touch him, but Willow encouraged me to comfort him. Taking a shaky breath, I nudged his shoulder, "Don't worry, I will find your sister. But I will need you to tell me what you've seen. Can you do that for me, Quinn?"

"Okay," he whispered, and nodding his head he continued. "I saw her running through the forest, and then it skipped to her making her way through an extremely rocky area." He stopped and looked at me with pleading eyes, his aura darkening to a deep blue, indicating unbearable sadness.

"I know this isn't easy for you because you can feel the agony of the person you have the vision of, but if I'm going to find her, I need you to tell me everything you saw. Even if it is painful for you or you think it is insignificant. I still need to know because it could mean the difference between her being found or not."

'Why does he have to remember the painful part?' Willow asked me.

'Because details make all the difference,' I told her before pushing her to the back of my mind and shutting off her interference. If I were to find this girl, Serenity, I would need to focus entirely on finding her.

"Okay," Quinn whispered as a tear escaped the corner of his eye. "The next flash I had was of Ren wheezing and coughing up blood as she dragged her weak body through a field of blue flowers. Then…"

He stopped as if he was trying to compose himself. I gently rubbed his arm, trying to encourage him to go on.

"Then she was standing in a completely frozen alcove with…" he licked his lips as a few more tears slipped from his eyes, and he trembled beneath my touch. "With cuts covering her from her head to her feet and blood poured from her eyes and ears." He swallowed hard and continued, "The last flash I got was of her crawling from a rocky crevice and collapsing, surrounded by trees."

"Okay, I can work with this. You did good, Quinn." I said as I patted him on the back and then turned to Alpha Derrick, who was on the verge of ripping someone apart.

"I swear whoever did this to our Ren will pay with their lives!" His blood lust billowed off of him and his Beta as his voice shook with anger.

"I don't think she was attacked," I stated as I pulled my phone from my pocket and pulled up a satellite image of the Silver Moon Pack's territory.

"How do you know for sure," Jace asked as he glared at me.

I rolled my eyes and let out a frustrated huff, "did you not hear Quinn as he was telling us about his vision? Tell me, Beta Jace, at what point in Quinn's explanation did you get the idea that someone was there with Serenity harming her?" I glared at him in irritation. "Now, can everyone step back? I'm going to need space to perform the location spell."

'Will you be okay?' Willow asked me, knowing that using a location spell would make me unable to surface for quite some time. Because even though we would be using the blood energy of one of Serenity's relatives for the incantation, I would have to use my soul energy since we did not have anything that contained Serenity's life energy, like her hair or blood.

'I'll be fine. So please let me focus.’

The air wheezed in and out of my aching lungs as I torturously ran through the unfamiliar forest, trying to escape my pursuers. The misery of my pain consumed my entire body. My vision was blurred in my right eye, where blood spilled from my head, turning my silverish-white hair red. I hugged my left arm close to my chest in hopes that it might eliminate at least some of the pain that coursed through my broken, hanging limb. And yet, with all of this agony, I carried on, for if I stopped, death was the only thing that awaited me.

My life began when I became a member of the Silver Moon Pack. I say it began because my first memory is of myself waking up in the pack’s infirmary with no memory of what had happened before that day. With my memories gone, they took me in with open arms and gave me a home with a family to call my own. Even with having been entirely accepted by the pack Alpha, I was still an outcast, but with being unable to shift in a pack full of strong wolves, I guess it is to be expected. I am weak and a liability, but things begin to change when I unexpectedly end up in a coma. This may be my chance to find my mate and where I truly belong.
