Oop, drama kicking in-
Dunno what I should say right now, it's just the beginning of the Boy's speech so we'll have to wait for the next pages to really talk about it. But god I LOVE Chapter 11.
On a general note: contrary to what one might think, what is revealed in this scene was never intended as a plot twist (and it isn't one, but I know it is for some people, let me know in the comments!). From the beginning, I knew that with a story like this, readers would quickly understand that Black Death is connected to the Boy.
It serves to set up a sword of Damocles hanging over the main couple. From now on, the biggest concern we should have is, 'how will the characters handle the revelation of this secret? Will the couple hold together or, on the contrary, break apart?'
Damn I can't say anything else at the moment! But I've been waiting for this scene for so long; it's a major turning point in the story. Suddenly, we dive deep into the core of the narrative, and the tragedy it holds. We're about to grasp a significant portion of the plot and the background of this entire story. I'm so excited to share it with you! And boyyy I'll be chatty-
Just think of two boys, thinking they’re in the right place, comfortable in their everyday life. Nothing to break their plans for the future. And suddenly they crash on that other one, who is so different and far away from what they know that it blows up their world. But now someone is looking at them. Seeing them for the first time. And they are so moved and overwhelmed by that feeling that they are ready to give up on everything else, and escape from, they realize it now, what was a prison.
Because they’ve met each other, their respective worlds have come apart, it's like a collision. And now they are an anchor for each other, the only compass in this new world where they are lost.
