The cyclops advanced
towards Gael's body, which lay lifeless next to the wall struck by
the monster's club. The gigantic being dragged the heavy object on
the ground, pleased with the idea of having eliminated a guardian, a
feat that could ensure rewards and wishes granted by the one who sent
him to Earth.
He dreamed of the lust, gluttony, and pleasure he could indulge in after eliminating the guardian. For him, one more blow was all it took, and his job would be done.
As he approached the boy, Gael was bloodied, with his right eyebrow open and his eyes covered in blood. The cyclops positioned the club to deliver the final blow to the boy when suddenly, he felt a strange heat. It was a warmth he had never experienced before.
Intrigued, the giant looked to the sky, but nothing seemed to have changed with the sun. However, the heat only increased as he got closer to Gael. The cyclops realized that the heat emanated from the boy himself, still stuck to the wall. For the first time in the battle, fear took hold of him, a fear he hadn't felt since he submitted to the will of the one who sent him.
Urgently, the monster decided that he needed to eliminate the boy as quickly as possible. He raised the club over his right shoulder to deliver the fatal blow. However, as the object descended, it encountered no resistance. The blow had no impact.
The cyclops stood incredulous at what he witnessed. Gael had awakened, and with his right hand, he held the giant's club while his entire body caught fire, emitting elemental energy in all the surrounding areas. Now, he finally knew the name of his bestoj, and the cyclops would soon know it too:
"ROAR, EMUNN!!!"
The impact of the fire was overwhelming, a true fiery torrent that engulfed the cyclops in flames. The monster roared in pain as he tried, in vain, to move away from the intense heat emanating from Gael's burning body. The giant had underestimated the strength of this young guardian, and now he was paying the price for his arrogance, his arm that held the club severed instantly.
With swift and precise movements, the boy's right hand firmly held the cyclops' club amidst the flames. It was an impressive and terrifying sight to see the boy's body surrounded by crackling fire, resisting the monster's onslaught. Elemental energy flowed powerfully throughout his being, as if he were becoming an avatar of fire itself.
Despite the intensity of the heat, Gael's body gradually diminished the intensity of the flames, consciously controlling the power he emanated. Gradually, the incandescent flames yielded, revealing the new shape of the sword in his hands.
The weapon was now completely transformed, shorter than before but much more threatening and refined. The hilt was adorned with a red lion, the unmistakable symbol of Emunn, his fire bestoj. Gael felt a deep connection with his sword, as if it were a natural extension of his own will.
The blade had an impressive appearance. Its curved shape, one on each side, allowed it to cut effectively both to the right and to the left. Furthermore, the sword demonstrated its defensive ability, capable of parrying blows from both sides. It was a balanced and versatile weapon, reflecting the evolution of its master.
Gael observed the sword with fascination and respect, understanding that it represented the tangible manifestation of his mastery over the elemental energy of fire. The duality of the blade's layers, with a darker gray on the right and a lighter one on the left, seemed to contain even deeper secrets about the potential of his sword.
In the face of such transformation, the cyclops remained frightened and astonished. What should have been a simple task of eliminating a guardian in its initial state now turned into a deadly challenge for the monster itself. The intense energy emanating from Gael's sword revealed a power the giant had never faced before.
Gael's body was in perfect harmony with his elemental energy, allowing him to control the powerful fire that surrounded him naturally and fluidly. The discomforting heat that had bothered him before had now turned into a sensation of excitement and determination.
For a moment, his eyes acquired a fiery red hue, reflecting the inner power that dominated him. However, when he turned his gaze back to the cyclops, his eyes returned to their normal color, but the expression on his face was no longer one of fear or insecurity. Now, he radiated a confident and determined aura.
Facing the giant with just one hand, Gael walked towards the cyclops with firm steps. The monster, once confident in its strength, now trembled in fear at the transformation it witnessed in the guardian. The club, which once represented its power and domination, now seemed useless compared to the fiery aura surrounding Gael.
The cyclops knew it needed to eliminate the boy quickly before he became even more powerful and uncontrollable. Preparing his brass knuckles with his left arm, the giant lunged at Gael. However, the boy remained unshaken, calmly awaiting the attack.
With surprising agility, Gael grabbed the cyclops' punch with his hand, stopping it effortlessly.
"I told you that you would pay dearly for what you did to this place."
The red-haired boy tightened his grip on the cyclops' left hand, making him see the damage he had caused to his neighborhood.
The destruction was visible everywhere: destroyed trees, cars on fire, injured people seeking shelter amidst the chaos, fallen lampposts, and small fires caused by damaged transformers. The impact of the cyclops' club had left deep and painful marks on the lives of the people in that place.
"All of this is your fault!"
With a firm and accusing voice, Gael held the cyclops accountable for all that destruction. The squeeze in his left hand increased, causing the giant to fall to his knees before the boy's strength and determination. The cyclops now understood that he had underestimated his opponent, and the consequence of his mistake was clear before his eyes.
Silva's face was covered in blood, but his right eyebrow had stopped bleeding, giving him an even more threatening appearance as he faced the formidable monster before him. With his right hand, Gael began to emit heat from his own body, directing it to burn the giant's hand in front of him; the cyclops screamed in pain as his arm seemed to burn from the inside out.
However, the effects of the blow that Gael had suffered from the club soon began to manifest in the boy, and the fire power of the guardian began to decline. His body no longer obeyed him as before, and the cyclops seized the opportunity to free his left arm from the boy, stepping back to distance himself from the consuming fire.
Silva's vision blurred, and he fell to the ground, his human body weakened by the loss of blood in the initial confrontation with that relentless cyclops. Although he felt elemental energy flowing like never before in his body, his healing seemed to occur more slowly than he needed at that critical moment.
Despite his left arm being seriously injured internally, the one-eyed monster saw in this situation the opportunity to end the fight once and for all. Although he could barely move his arm, the remaining strength in his body would be enough to kill Gael.
"Y O U R E N D H A S C O M E!"
Said the cyclops, approaching the boy kneeling on the ground, with a rotten smile on his face
