“ETHAN!!!”

Corruption separated itself from Ethan, returning to its original form.

“Ethan! Ethan!! Come on! You’re not done yet! We still need you!” shouted Chemic as she was performing CPR on Ethan and checking his pulse. After a minute of CPR, nothing had changed as Ethan still had no pulse, but Chemic kept pumping at Ethan’s chest so she wouldn’t give up on him. To her surprise, Tony rushed into the lab, looked around, and saw Chemic pumping Ethan’s chest. He rushed towards them while scanning Ethan’s body.

“What the Tony?”

The scan showed that Ethan’s heart was in cardiac arrest. Tony began rubbing his hands together rapidly making them into Defibrillators as he placed his hands on Ethan’s chest & lower ribcage. A strong electric current discharged from Tony’s hands into Ethan’s body causing it to jolt.

Tony saw no change in Ethan’s heart, "Again." As he discharged another electric charge into Ethan. Tony stared at Ethan's chest while Chemic bit her thumb. 

Lub-dub..Lub-dub

The sound of Ethan's heartbeat was music to Tony's ears as he sighed in relief, “Thank goodness. This bastard keeps stressing me out.”

“Is he okay???” asked Chemic as she checked Ethan’s pulse.

“His heart is beating, but it’s weak so he needs to be taken to the ICU. Do you guys have that here?”

“Yes we do, can you carry him there?”

“Sure.”

Before Tony could pick Ethan up, Kunoichi rushed in with paramedics, “There he is, please help him.”

Paramedics rushed to Ethan, one checked his pulse, another put an oxygen mask over his mouth and another got the stretcher ready. “His pulse is weak so we need to take him to the ER,” said one of the paramedics as they swiftly got Ethan on the stretcher and pushed him out the IT Lab then rushed him to the emergency room. Tony and the others followed them to the ER but were stopped at the forbidden entrance of the ER as they watched the paramedics push Ethan away beyond the doors.

“I hate these damn doors,” said Chemic.

“Same,” agreed Kunoichi as the doors closed in her face and she exhaled heavily, “You! Do you know what happened to Ethan? He just started having a seizure after that black-greenish thing came out of that portal and touched him again.”

“Unfortunately I don’t, Ethan never told me about his black cubes til recently,” answered Tony.

“Really? Aren’t you two close?” asked Kunoichi.

“Yes… but everyone has their secrets,” said Tony.

"I guess but-"

“Just drop it, Chi, if he doesn't know then he doesn't know... Let us hope Ethan will be alright,” said Chemic.

“Rebels! Roll call!” shouted Colonel through the radio as the rebels were taken by surprise by it.

“Oh uh Chemic, over!”

“Kunoichi, over!”

“Urgh, Bradley, over”

“Flash”

“Ninja, over!”

“Cyber???”

“Uhmm, Cyber is in the emergency room Colonel,” said Chemic.

“The emergency room?!? Why, what happened???”

“We don’t know Colonel, he had a seizure after coming back to his body and started screaming in pain then his heart went into cardiac arrest. We managed to revive his heart then the paramedics rushed him to the ER,” explained Chemic.

“Wait, coming back to his body… did he go into the Virtual Cyber Realm?” asked Colonel.

“The Virtual what?”

"The virtual cy- never mind, did he use his black cubes?”

“Yes, he used two of them then gave us one, I think it was his lab,” said Chemic

“Was he ever covered by the greenish-black cube?” asked Colonel.

“Yes, that’s when the seizure started when it came back out of the portal.”

“I see, so he dived into the virtual cyber realm... Then something must’ve gone wrong during the dive because this didn’t happen last time he dived… Luckily the attack on the HQ is over so we are out of danger for now, thanks to Cyber.”

“Really!? How did you guys manage to take out the Colossals?” asked Flash.

“We don’t know how but Cyber managed to convert them to our side,” said Colonel.

“Convert?? Wait so they’re humanitarians now?” asked Bradley.

“No Bradley, Cyber probably hacked them to fight for us.”

“Oh”

“A lot of damage has been done to the HQ and the Crusaders. Let's hope that the casualties aren’t many so go and help any survivors of in the South region. Once things have calmed down, we’ll have another meeting,” said Colonel.

“Yes Ma’am,” said all the squadron members.

“I’m sure we won’t be able to see Cyber for a few hours so during that time will you come and help us with the search & rescue operation in the south region?” asked Chemic.

Tony looked at the emergency room doors, “Sure might as well since sitting here worrying about him ain’t going to do any good.”

“Exactly, now let’s head to the south region,” said Chemic then switched to radio communication, “Bradley, where are you guys?”

Bradley groaned, “We’re in the Southeast region, Flash & Ninja are fine somehow but so am I, just bruised up a bit.”

“Just bruised up, what happened? You get beat up by the Androids?”

“Ha no, just some rubble fell on me.”

“Rubble fell on you and you’re just bruised? You really are a tank,” said Chemic.

“Heheh of course I am.”

“Ok buddy, you sound okay so we’ll see you guys at the search and rescue operation.”

“Roger that.”

Chemic closed the radio channel, “Alright let’s get moving you two.”

Tony put his finger on Kunoichi’s earpiece, “What are you doing??” asked Kunoichi.

“I’m just connecting to the radio frequency of your radio communication device so that I can hear what’s going on.”

“Oh, okay... that's cool, I forget that you’re a cyborg,” said Kunoichi.

“Yeah, it happens, even I forget sometimes.”

“Come on lets go guys,” said Chemic as she looked back at them from the distance.

“Oh, we’re coming.”

They rushed to the south region of the HQ where they saw the aftermath of the attack on the HQ as the roof was destroyed and rubble was everywhere. The search & rescue operation was already underway as teams were scrummaging and searching through the rubble for any survivors. While the Rebellious Crusaders were recovering from the attack, back in the Mavis Empire; a summit was taking place in the Virtual Cyber Realm at Mavis’s domain.

Mavis sighed, “I’m sure everyone here knows what happened to Governor Codey. Quite unfortunate that things did not go as I expected, but Governor Codey still did his part well for we now know what their weapons are and what their weaknesses are. Now we need to launch a full-force attack against the humans, they barely won against 1/8th of our power, they'll crumble at the full might of our power.”

“How do you plan on countering Lord Quinn’s cybernetic abilities?” asked Java.

“If you were paying attention to the battle between Quinn and Codey then you should already know a way of countering Quinn’s corruption.”

“But didn’t he adapt to the counter,” asked Cybris.

“Not exactly, one of his cybernetic abilities yes has adapted to erasure but not fully because it doesn’t have access to the full power of erasure. To fully use erasure, he needs to form a contract of restrictions with the Algorithm.”

“But what if he doesn’t need to Lord Mavis?”

Mavis raised an eyebrow, “What do you mean Governor Vector?”

“A contract of restrictions usually takes the form of a weapon since erasure is used as a weapon. The contract itself is embedded into a weapon to restrict erasure from erasing the weapon-wielding it. So if the erasure weapon is stolen like in this case, then Lord Quinn doesn’t need to form a contract of restriction since the erasure weapon he absorbed with his cybernetic ability already has a contract of restriction. He can just simply use that contract to access the full power of erasure.”

“Then why didn’t he use it against Codey’s cybersecurity?” asked Cybris.

“Because this was probably his first time using erasure. His inexperience with erasure led him to that result,” said Vector.

“You make a good point Governor Vector, which is all the more reason why we should attack again as soon as possible. The more time we give Quinn, the more dangerous he becomes.”

“If we are to launch a full-on attack Lord Mavis then it will take us more or less 2 days to get ready,” said Silver.

“Then let us waste no time and get everything ready. I will be sending the coding of my cybernetic ability to you all, make sure to implement it into the cyber security of your troops and your own if you wish. It should help against Quinn’s cyber-attacks.

“That is a serious risk Lord Mavis especially against Lord Quinn. Although with the upcoming battle, I doubt Lord Quinn will have the time to adapt to override so it should be fine...They haven’t said anything about Tony, either everyone here has a plan to combat Tony or they don’t consider him as a threat at all. Well honestly even I don’t see him as a threat,” thought Vector.

“We will leave as soon as everything is ready so make sure to be fully upgraded. This meeting has concluded, we are dismissed.”

“An all-out attack huh… even with Lord Quinn, I don’t see humanity surviving this. However, after the last attack, I doubt Lord Quinn will sit back and wait for us to come to him. I wonder what his next plan of action will be?” thought Vector as he woke up back in the physical world, “I think it's time I went back to my workshop, I’m going to need all the upgrades I can manage against Lord Quinn.
