Poem#05:

             

           "A Serendipitous Exchange"

Cascade of drops, falling from the clouds, 

Each one hitting me like gravel of doubts, 

As I stand there drenched in chocked sounds, 

A strange grumble tugs me like mischievous sprouts, 

Oh Rain! Are you trying to wash my blood away? 

Do you know how the farce of my ashed life play? 

Can you imagine the penalty of my amble betray? 

Who told you the reason behind my intended stray? 

Oh Human! You see, I jumped from the cloudy height, 

Before today, I was always under the terrible fright, 

But when God's decree called for my lowly sight, 

I hurried down happily carrying the Words of Might. 

He entrusted me to tell you, there's no need to fear, 

For He knows the innocence of your bloodied tear, 

You abandoned all the floral lies for the truth's sear, 

He breathed your story, so trust Him, everything's clear. 

Witnessing the Rain's gallantry in relaying God's voice, 

I couldn't help but admire, dousing in pure rejoice, 

Cupping my hands, I kissed the little rain's selfless choice, 

Quietly wishing, they pass on my gratitude, above the skies. 

"Oh dear," said the broken rain, with softening gaze, 

"I'm afraid I can't relay your regard to that esteemed place, 

For I only know how to fall off and melt away by His grace, 

He, though, has honoured you with the power to raise.
