I want to thank and this is a very belated thank you to IHateFridays for their amazing fanart. They sent it to me a long time ago and I really appreciate what they did, Nyx and Elisa look great. If anyone wants to see it, there are my Instagram stories! ♥️
Well, in this first part of chapter 4, Elisa remembers the time she visited her maternal aunt (Deborah) several years earlier and met both her and her daughters Margaret (we finally know who she is, but why does she think Elisa is a murderer? 🤔 ) and Clementine (although I will not focus much on this character, we will learn a little more about this girl's behavior and something that happened to her, which we will see in detail in chapter 5).
Elisa realizes that there is an evil presence and it seems that Iris also has that feeling, but...why? Isn't Elisa the only one who sees demons?
We then return to 1927, where grandmother and granddaughter are finalizing the details of the wedding to Deborah. Mrs. Murphy expresses how "uncomfortable" her relationship with her sister Rebecca was. Agares, annoyed, talks to Elisa about Deborah's words and forces her to speak. She says what she thinks, next week we will delve into what she wants. Meanwhile, Astaroth is desperate to be alone with Elisa.
Here we also meet Silvana, Bertha and Nathan, employees of the Murphy family.

Guys, ask whatever you want about the story, feel free to do so.
I just want you to enjoy what you read and not be overwhelmed by understanding the plot and dialogue. ❤️ This makes sense in a way. The next part of this chapter will be much shorter.
So that's who Margaret is! 😫 It makes it worse that she's Elisa's family, but her obsession with Elisa's Mom is quite unnatural. Since she was a kid, it seems 😲. I really enjoyed the back story on this, and how cute (though terrified) Elisa looked. Clementine seemed a but doolally at first, but she seemed to make more sense as she spoke. I found her eyes, or the way she stared at Elisa quite nerve-wracking! Almost like she wanted to eat the poor girl!!
Oh, and Iris is an interesting surprise. That reaction tells she had tells me she has the same abilities as Rebecca and Elisa. Maybe she just hides them well? But then again, I'm thinking now, about Agares. Can everyone see him? Because we know Iris can (from the car scene before). So Im thinking whether that was already hinting at her powers?
I found the Aunt really obnoxious, and I'm so glad and proud of Elisa for standing up to her! Agares is not all that bad, see 😆👏💓💓.
The plot thickens, and I I look forward to the Aunt's reaction to Elisa's stand off!!
Oh, the nanny also seemed really sus. Or maybe she's just too perceptive. Those marks on Elisa's neck are really not good 😫.
Ihatefriday's fanart is amazing, Emalie, many congratulations on getting it💓💓💓!! And thank you for this awesome update, full of intrigue once again! There is much to discover, and I really look forward to it 💓💓💓💓.
Elisa Sullivan inherits her mother's ability to see and speak with hellish beings. She tries to live her life normally despite having this curse.
Her aspirations, in turn, are different from those of her grandmother, she does not want to marry for convenience, her goal is to be a writer. She wants to be a romance novel author, but she's not an expert. Elisa needs inspiration (a muse) and without realizing she gets it thanks to Nyx, a particular creature from the underworld whom she will meet in a "lethal" way.
