Chapter 12: Detective, and His Witness

“Good luck Ronin,” Ja said as he waved. Ronin thought about Ja and his mission 

As him, and Morales drove closer to the destination. Morales turned to Ronin feeling  

a little bit of fear coming from him, “You ok?” Morales asked. Ronin turns to him, gives him a light smile. “Yeah…just a little worried, *Looking out the window* This is the first time me and Ja have been separated” he said. Morales smirks remembering him, and his brother “When me, and my brother were young we couldn't be separated” he said to Ronin. Looking at him Ronin smiles, “were you guys close” he asked. Morales smiled, “You have no idea.” he said, as they got closer to the destination. 

At a nearby dock. “Where's my brother?” A man in his mid twenties with tattoos all over his body, and a buzz cut. “I don't know I saw him reading in the basement,” a goon said to him, as he took a dead body out of his car. Going to the basement the man looks around for his little brother. “Saken, what are you doing?” He asked him as he saw him in a corner by himself, flicking a lighter off, and on. “I’m not feeling good today, Savan,” Saken said to his older brother. Savan closing the door behind him walks over to Saken, and crouches next to him. “Look we just have this load from Vladimir, and we'll be done,” Savan said to Saken. Saken had long shaggy black hair, with dark brown eyes, pale skin tone, and stood 5 '2. “ These powers you got Saken, they are more than gifts it gives you a purpose.” Savan said, as he rubs his head. “Once we're out of this type of life…We're gonna get all the toys, video games, and Junk food you want” He said jokingly. Saken, smiling looks at Savan, “And a puppy” he said to Savan. Both of them smile, before getting up and walking towards the door. “Go outside I'll meet you there” Savan said to him before he walked away towards the back. Saken walking outside flicks his finger igniting a little flame, “Bodies are over here kid” A bigger man said. Saken takes a deep breath before walking over to the pile of dead bodies, and begins to burn them. “This should be the last load of the week” the bigger man said before patting Saken on the back. Looking into the pile Saken sees the lifeless bodies, staring back at him, and closes his eyes. “The more I burn, the more I see them, as the flames ignite bigger all I can hear are the screams of the dead” He thought to himself, as the warmth from the flames began to touch his skin. “I wonder what it's like to have a bonfire surrounded by friends laughing, telling stories, it must be nice” Saken thought to himself. Blocking out all sound around him using the flames, Saken takes deep breaths, “This will be over one day” he said. Slowly falling deeper into the flame he becomes calm, but that would be disrupted by the bigger man from earlier. “Hey kid…Your brother wanted to know if you were *Bang*” The bigger man said before being shot right through the head as blood splatter on Saken's face. In shock Saken looks at his body fall to the ground, and just in the nic of time Savan tackles him out of danger. “GO GO '' He yelled to Saken, as they both ran around the building. “What's happening?” Saken said, panicking as gunshots began to fly past them. “I don't know, just keep your head down.” he said as other men began to get shot. Grabbing Saken they run back into the building to get to cover. “ Give me a gun!” Savan yelled, as one of the men tossed him a gun. Shooting through a small hole through the cracks in the wall, Savan sees a tattoo on one of the men on his neck, “Fucking Morano” Savan thought to himself, as he sees more men appear. Savan eyes widen as he begins to be filled with fear, “Does that mean he’s here” he thought to himself. 

On a roof 6 miles away. A man smiles listening to rock music with a sniper. “Come on, peek your head one more time” the man said, Looking in the scope his bright red eye shines through the scope. But as soon as he sees Savan again he gets a call. “Hello?” he said, the voice on the phone giving him instructions. “ You sure you wanna keep him alive?” the man said, “Alright…Well how bout I Blow his arm off” he said.

Savan going back to cover looks at Saken, “The Ryoshi Is here” said Savan as Saken's eyes filled with fear. “He’s gonna kill us” He said as his voice trembled hearing more people get killed. “NO I Won't let nothing…” Savan said right before Ryoshi blows his right arm completely off. Falling on the ground, Savan begins to space out, feeling weak Saken runs over to him. “Brother!” he yelled as he ran over to his aid. Grabbing Saken face, his eyes water. But looking up on the roof, he sees Ronin crouched on a corner, as his red eyes glowed through his mask being the only thing seen. “We got it from here” Said Morales, Savan grabbing Morales arm uses the last bit of his strength to get up. “Please ... .save ... .him” He cried, before fainting on the ground. “BROTHER PLEASE DON'T GO” Saken cried out, as tears flowed down his face. Morales looking around feels someone looking at him, sniffing out a shaitan nearby he quickly picks up Saken and dashes to cover right as a Dart lands on the ground. “They are trying to knock him unconscious.” Morales thought to himself, right as a few goons came through the door. Aiming their guns at Morales, Ronin jumps from the roof and slams his bat into one of their heads.  The impact from the bat sends the goon straight into the ground, dashing to the other goon Ronin swings his bat for his knees. Snapping the goon's leg in half, Morales follows up with a punch of his own, sending the goon through a wall. The last goon pulls out a pistol aiming at Ronin, Morales trying to switch with Ronin cant in time but luckily, Saken uses his flames to set the man on fire. 

Ryoshi, seeing the man on fire, smiles. “Looks like we broke him” He said, seeing with a big smile on his face. Morales, seeing the man burnt alive, dashes over to Ronin and gets behind cover. “No killing” Remembering what he said, as he feels Saken level go higher. “He's about to be bloodlusted.” he thought to himself as every around Saken began to be set on fire, But with a quick Reaction Morales dashed over to him knocking him out. “Ronin, I'm gonna get him out of here, stay behind me!” Said Morales as he grabbed Saken, and ran out the building. Morales dodges multiple bullets and people make it back to his car, where he throws Saken in the back, and Ronin jumping through the passenger window drives off. “Good job Ronin! Now put the chip on his neck to remove any traces he may leave behind.” Said Morales before making a sharp right turn. Ronin leaning in about to put the chip on his neck would have glass cut his face, as a dart flies in hitting Morales in the neck. Swerving in the road, they slam into a tree sending Ronin flying out the front of the car. Hitting the ground Ronin bounces, and slams into another tree. “Ronin…” Morales said as he got out of the car crawling from the nausea and dizziness. Falling to the ground, Morales throws up, “You know you made me miss three times” Ryoshi said, as he jumped down from the tree. “THREE FUCKING TIME! That's the most I have ever missed in my life.” He continued to yell at a weak Morales. “Just take me and leave the boys” He pleaded to Ryoshi. Looking at Morales, Ryoshi smiles. “I don't want you either way ... .I need that brat, and white hair kid….I saw what he was holding, and I know my shit that's no regular bat” Said Ryoshi

A few goons go into the woods to look for Ronin, but as they get closer to the area he is gone. “Where the fuck is he, he just flew out a car for crying out loud.” a goon said as he turned to his partner. Hearing a quick step of wind, he turned back around where it came from, slowly approaching the sound he raises his gun. Shining the light towards some bushes he moves them, but only finds Ronins ski mask. “What the fuck” the good said before turning around and seeing his partner with his throat slit on the ground. “COBY” he said before Ronin jumps down from the tree and slices, his head clean off. Standing above the goon, it is revealed Ronin is wearing the mask of the forbidden Shaitan. “Leave us alone” he whispered. 

Ryoshi, going over to Saken, picks him up. “Look, it was fun hanging out, but you know how work is gotta go,”  Said Ryoshi in a sarcastic tone. But as he walked away a man's head landed next to him, with a knife in its forehead. Ryoshi smiled, “Ah, it seems like you woken up” he said right as Ronin dashed towards him with a katana. Dashing to the right Ryoshi moves out the way from the strike. Ronin following up with the miss goes for the decapitation which Ryoshi smacks away with his rifle. Picking up Ronin by the neck, Ryoshi slams him into the ground. Ronin, flipping his Katana, tries to stab him in the face, but Ryoshi, seeing the strike coming, moves his head out the way. “You got balls, kid” Said Ryoshi as he picked up Ronin by the leg, and slammed him to the ground. Ronin bouncing off the ground coughs up blood, as he is in the air, but quickly turning around in the air he slices Ryoshi's face. Landing on his feet, Ronin grabs his rib, Standing in front of Ryoshi who's grabbing his face. Ryoshi smiles, “You know kid, Theres levels to this shit *His cut on his face begins to close up” And you are at the bottom” He said to Ronin, as he walked around him. “But that look on your face shows me, you think you are top dog” Said Ryoshi. Putting his index, and middle finger together, he makes an X. Ronin's eyes widen, feeling a coldness go through his body. “But when I do this.. You'll see what true power is. *Crossing his fingers his eyes turn a bright red…Hopefully you live kid…..Fourth wall: inevitable lead” He said before everything around Ronin fades away. “What the” he thought to himself as he looked around, But in the darkness Ryoshi red eyes glowed. Ronin dashing towards him tries to stab him but when he makes contact nothing is there.”You intrigue me…So i'll let you off easy” Ryoshi said to Ronin right before a bullet flies blowing off Two of Ronins fingers. Ronin falling to the ground grabs his hand in pain. Panicking he begins to look around. “Usually I kill people with one shot” Said Ryoshi as he crouched down next to Ronin. Turning his head to look at Ryoshi, Ronin tries to grab his face. “BUT YOU SEE RONIN YOUR HEART IS GIVING YOU ANOTHER CHANCE!” he yelled, slamming Ronin face into the ground. “When you grow strong find me” he said, turning his back to Ronin. “Oh…and one more thing *flicks his fingers*” Said Ryoshi before a bullet flew past Ronin's head, perfectly skimming the side of it and barely hitting his ear. “So you won't forget” he said as everything around Ronin cleared up, and he saw Ryoshi grab Saken. Hearing only a ringing sound, Ronin tries to crawl towards Ryoshi, but he feels a hand touch his shoulder. “I’m sorry kid” Morales said, as he cracked his neck. “UGHH what do you want…I let the boy live,” Ryoshi said, But Morales, ignoring him, continued to walk towards him. “You don't get to walk away today” Said Morales as he slammed his fist together and his second wall activated. Ryoshi smiling puts Saken down, “Alright then old man…lets see what you got” he said putting his two fingers together, “Fourth wall.” Ryoshi said, as everything around Morales turned black. Both of their eyes glowing a bright red, Morales tries to catch Ryoshi before he moves, but isn't quick enough. “ Come out and fight me coward!”  Morales yelled, but all he heard was Ryoshi laugh. A bullet flies past Morales' cheek, cutting it open. Another bullet then comes from behind hitting Morales in the thigh. Grabbing his leg, Morales begins to look around. “He's coming at me at my blindspots” he thought to himself, before charging his fist and punching the ground. The impact from the punch sent multiple pieces of the ground in the air. Morales closing his eyes, Slows his heart beat blocking out every sound trying to hear Ryoshi running. Morales, hearing Ryoshi running around him at fast paced, begins to time him, “He shoots a shot every 15 seconds” He thought to himself. Morales counting down the seconds, Dashes right as Ryoshi shoots his shot. Hitting Ryoshi with a right hook, He sends him away causing the zone to break. Morales, biting down, grunts as the bullet in his thigh slowly comes out. “Nice hit,” Ryoshi said, grabbing jaw. Getting up they stare at each other, it grows quiet as police sirens begin to get closer. “You know, only another person has caught me out of my fourth wall” he said, but Morales wastes no time dashes over to him. Throwing a sucker punch, Ryoshi blocks it. Pushing Morales away from him they both get in a stance. “I got 5 min, So if you can't kill me in that time frame, you lose your chance” Ryoshi said confidently.
