Read Cobalus: Planet of the machines :: Chapter 9: Recovery

At a nearby medical center, Zafira wakes up after being comatose for two days. She sees that Ruby has not waken up and decides to find Tuga. As she is about to leave, Zafira hears voice from behind the door. She tries to listen to the conversation and hears Tuga talking to Francis. She overhears Tuga describe what happen to Neo and Zafira. From the look of rage in their eyes to the amount of neoraptors that were torn apart, Zafira was mortified by what she heard. She couldn't believe that her and Neo would do that. Later that day, fearful of what would happen to her friends if she lost control, sneaks out of the room and goes to where Neo is. Neo wakes up and sees Zafira in a mixture of bandages and her normal attire. She get on top of Neo and Neo gets up and leaves with Zafira. "We can't afford to risk the lives of our friends. The Raiders are only getting stronger as time goes on. They shouldn't get because of a decision we made. I hope they could understand." Say Zafira in a somber tone. She looks behind her and sees the medical center before riding off into the distance.

Tuga enters the room Ruby is at to see them awake from their coma. Ruby is told what had happened before asking where Zafira is. "Oh shit! How did she leave without anyone noticing?!" Says Tuga in a paniced tone. Ruby tries to get up from the bed but falls over due to their injuries. Mid fall, Tuga catches Ruby and suggests that Ruby stays in order to recover from their injuries. "Zafira is our friend. We can't just stand around while Zafira and Neo are out there on their own. Plus, us Machina heal much quicker than humans. Like hell a few bruises and broken bones can stop me." Ruby says reassuring Tugas worry. Ruby and Tuga go to the room were Vermilla and Torta are. Still unable to fly, Vermilla hops on top of Torta. Tuga and Ruby get on top of Torta and ride off to find Zafira and Neo. All they could think of is why Zafira and Neo would run away from them.

Meanwhile, Neo runs into a nearby jungle, breaking branches along the way. Neo stops and picks up a sent. Zafira hears twigs and branches snapping in the distance. Just then, Neo dodges an attempted pounce by Swordtooth. "A bit far away from your group don't you think?" Says Sebal in a mocking tone. "Tell me, why do you constantly interfere with our plans? All we want is to restore humanity to its former glory. The legendary mekanimal will guarantee our dominance something a traitor like you would never understand." Says Sebal. "I'm the traitor? Very funny coming from the servant of a cult thats hurt countless people. There's a reason humans are on Cobalus and not Earth! Humanity destroyed there own home for petty reasons like hate and hubris. Humanity was given another chance to change and they did. Had humanity not change, coexistence between humans and machina would have never happened." Says Zafira. Sebal scoffs at what Zafira said. Neo and Swordtooth roar at each other before charging at each other.
