Once the literature lesson was over, Wade went to the math classroom. As he walked down the corridor, he could already hear the confused chatter of the other students, who had already arrived. He quickened his pace hoping to still find a good place to attend the lesson but, when he was at the door, he stopped. He was surprised to see Kyle's desk surrounded by several students. He was sitting and smiling over the moon. When he turned and their eyes met, Kyle stood up and walked over to Wade. «Look!» he said showing him his phone. With one finger he pointed the number of views and likes on one of the videos of his performance with Richard and Bryan at the club.
The happy expression on Kyle's face and the pride that Wade was feeling made him completely forget he was at school, among too many people. He hugged Kyle without thinking twice. He was so happy for him, who was taking more and more steps towards his dream. He wanted to tell Kyle how proud he was of him, but he had already used up all his courage.
«This means next time there will be a much larger audience.», Wade let go of Kyle and they both couldn't hide their embarrassment.
«Yeah.», Kyle smiled again before turning serious. «But you have to be there anyway, I need your support.»
Wade looked at him smiling. He couldn't contain the joy that sentence had aroused in him. His eyes spoke for him. He cleared his throat. «Of course. You can't just get rid of me like that.» he joked then gave him a light pat on the shoulder, before heading to one of the last seats available in the classroom.
Kyle got back to his new group of fans to watch the video, over and over again, until the teacher arrived.
