I am of course long over the ridiculousness of Starbucks asking for people's name before they can serve their coffee. Today I realized some people really use their true name for this purpose, AND they care about the correct spelling of their names for this purpose!
As it was my turn, the lady behind the counter asked me whether my name Alex was spelled as A_l_e_x. I can only attribute this act to her increased cultural sensibility after the valuable exercise with Maska.
