A man got out of the car with a large bag on his shoulder. He made his way towards us. 'Hey guys. Let's get inside first' was the first thing he said
'No 'Hey how are you' or 'Long time no see.' 'I missed you.' - 'Oh hey! I missed you too!' Clyde faked hurt
'Hahaha, sorry man, I missed you two, too but, I think the kid's more important right now. Is he not?' He looked towards me, smiling. I shyed away and back into Eddie's coat. I could hear chuckles and even cooing. I did not know what to think but I think I kinda liked it
'That's right' Eddie answered. Clyde gasped dramatically. 'Ouch'
'Ugh... Stop being so dramatic' I could feel Eddie rolling his eyes at the man
I sneezed loudly, out of nowhere, and now it was Eddie's turn to gasp. 'Oh no! He's probably sick right now cause we argue like idiots instead of taking him inside! Hurry clyde! Open the door. Carlos!'
'Who's being dramatic again?' Clyde asked, making the men around him laugh but Eddie glared at him
'I'll show you dramatic if you don't get your ass inside here right now! You're gonna be sick as well'
The men around 'Ohh'ed' and 'Ouu'ed' and 'Aww'ed.' Clyde laughed. 'Shut up assholes. I'm coming love'
We all made our way inside and Eddie sent the others away after thanking them. Now it was Eddie, Clyde, the doctor, and me
Without me wanting it, my heartbeat began to increase and I started feeling nervous. Eddie sat on the bed and moved me a bit. I clutched his shirt harder, don't wanting to let go
'Aww, hey, it's okay. I'm not going anywhere but Carlos need to check you up, see how you're doing' he explained but I only held him tighter. I could feel the other three switching looks, they were definitely meaningful cause a few seconds later I felt myself being moved to lay on my back
I whined a bit but at least I was still in Eddie's arms. He was holding my wrists and the other man, Clyde, was gently holding my legs
I was still laying on the fluffy blanket and it was settled against my head, under my neck and a bit around my body. It made me feel comfortable at least
'It might be a little cold since your shirt is thin fabric.' The doctor warned before putting something that I forgot the name of, on my heart. Part of the thing were inside his ears as he listened to my heartbeat
He hummed and without a warning, lifted my shirt. His eyes went wide at the sight. I knew what he was seeing, my bones. I was so thin that my bones were very visible
He wasn't the only one to be shocked. I could hear Clyde saying 'What in the world' and a lot of sentences that started with 'what da' and ended with bad words I won't repeat
Then I heard something that pretty much shocked me
Parker is a boy. Just a teenage boy. But despite being 'just a teenage boy', he experienced some things in life that most teenage boys don't.
After being kind of kicked out of his house, he stumbled upon a restaurant. Staying in the dark alley through the night might've been scary, but it was the best decision of his life that lead him to people who made him feel belong.
