While Wesley drives Lyra to the hospital he tries to take her mind off what may be happening to her father. “Hey Lyra, what’s your favorite childhood memory?” Wesley asks trying to make her not worry, “Uhm, my favorite memory is when my dad took me and my mom to Jamaica for the first time, and he ordered me cow foot soup, and I remember we were all happy that day cause it was my birthday I had just turned 12, and my mom had a surprise tiramisù that she baked for me and my dad started singing the happy birthday song an my mom sung along, and I made a wish we would stay a family. My dad is a lively person. He used to comfort me, but he would also get on me if I was doing something, he never wants me to think that I fail or think that I’m not beautiful. Then one time we were at the park he pushed me on the swing, and I went down the slide, and did the monkey bars, then my mom said it was time to go because it was getting late while she started the car,  Then my dad helped me down  get down from the, from the monkey bars, and then we we’re about to get in the car and just when he was about to open the door he had past out and we didn’t know why, so we took him to see Dr, Smith and he said he had amnesia. Then me and my mom waited for him to wake up, and while we did that, I started crying and my mom comforted me, but I knew she was just holding back her tears, though, then he woke up and then, he smiled at me and my mom almost past out from seeing him look in the bed, I was remember how he looked at me when he woke up he smiled at me but in my eyes he look like he was on the brink of death and my mom ran to the bathroom and had a break down, cause of how ,my dad looked lying in the hospital bed look like he was in so much pain, then he fell asleep, and my mom and me went back home, and she told me to go upstairs after hugging me, I told her everything was going to be alright, then after I went upstairs I turned around and look downstairs for a little and she was drinking red wine, while crying, and the next day she didn’t come out of the bed for a while, and she was like that for a whole week, she didn’t eat much she would only drink smoothies for breakfast lunch and dinner and then she finally was able to see my dad again”. Lyra says, “I’m sorry to hear that but it is still a good memory. Wesley said, “What do you mean?”  Lyra said, “My favorite memory of my dad is when I won a football match in my Junior year it was my first game and the first time I felt proud of myself,  then we went to Caramel Bliss, then we went home and he was driving us and when we pulled up in the parking lot he open the driver’s seat door, our car was a minivan and it was purple  and its brand was a Honda, we walk in side, we ate dinner then my dad went to the bathroom and when he came out and was in the hallway he fell straight to the flower and stopped breathing my mom had to give him see CPR while I called an ambulance and then we found out that he had heart complications, and my mom and me were sad for a while cause he was going to have to do surgery, and then a few years back from now as the doctor check his heart and did surgery he died and I don’t bring it up too much cause I remember how it made me feel and my mom especially”, Wesley said sadly, “Oh, I’m sorry I knew that he died but I didn’t know he had heart problems, I’m sorry about that”, Lyra said then there was nothing but silence in the car, and Wesley pulled up at the hospital, and they started to stare at each other for a while, then a car went, “Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep. Wesley must use the bathroom, but Lyra goes to see her father and find her mom. “Remember we’re on the second floor”, ‘Lyra says to Wesley before she goes to the second floor of the hospital to see her dad, Lyra runs inside the hospital and sees Dr Smith “Hey Dr Smith what’s going on”, Lyra asks in a scared tone, then she sees her mom crying cause her dad is about to die. “Mom, what’s wrong, what’s happening… where’s dad?” Lyra asks, then Wesley comes in and sees Lyra and runs to her. “Hey Lyra, did you find him, is your dad ok?” he’s fine, my mom went to go get us some food, Wesley I’m scared, what if he dies, or what if he doesn’t remember me when he wakes up”, Lyra says while crying, then she runs inside her dad’s room and hugs her mom and she let out a flood of tears, then she walks out and leaves her mom alone with her dad, and a nurse walks by, “Oh hey  are you Mr. Wright daughter?” the nurse asks, “Yeah how can you tell?”, Lyra asks, “You look like him a little, but here is his medicine don’t forget to give this too him, he must take at least 2  to help his amnesia, Ok?” the nurse stated. “Ok I’ll make sure; he takes his medicine thank you nurse?” Lyra says, “You’re welcome”, the nurse says to Lyra, then she walks off and Wesley see’s something familiar on Lyra’s dad pill bottle, “Hey Lyra can I see that for a sec please?” Wesley asks with concern, “Sure”, Lyre says, “Lyra this has domoic acid,” Wesley says with a scared expression, “So, what’s that”, Lyra says, it’s poison”, Wesley says with a concerned and serious tone, Lyra is so shock that she drops the pill bottle and the pills spill out.
