They resemble a strong and happy family although their mother died when they were still young. Yet, their old man is proud of them that he had sons and a daughter who are obedient, diligent and smart. He can’t ever ask for anything else. Arthur gazed at his children having a good time with each other.
"Franzlie, tomorrow we will prepare for your upcoming event. Xanth, Rhory will accompany you and act as your fashion advisor. I am not certain how they will accomplish this, but they must.”
“They will need to select an outfit that is both stylish and appropriate for the occasion. They will also need to make sure that your hair and makeup are perfect.”
“I know that you are capable of looking your best, but I trust that Xanth and Rhory will be able to help you achieve even greater heights. I am confident that you will look stunning at the event."Her father instructed them.
"Yes, Papa, we will. And this fashion thingy will not be complete if the money does not come out to play and pay.”
Xanth said, giggling like a child asking for money for their expenses. Franzlie and Rhory rolled their eyes at him as they laughed.
“Achylys and Llyr I want you to organize the event. Take care of all the things needed.”
Arthur felt a twinge of sadness at his thought of his daughter leaving, hence he tried to hide it from his children.
When Xanth asked for money, Arthur felt a sense of relief. He knew that his son was just trying to help his sister, and he was glad that he could provide for them.
“Achlys would be incharge to dispense the money later for all the expenses. I want you to cater some couturiers for your big brothers. So they could pick their suits as well.”
Arthur explained to his son Xanth.
Xanth smiled and winked at his sister. He was happy that his father was able to provide for them, and he was excited to help with the event for his sister.
Arthur calmly told his children,
"It's late now, and we need to rest. We have a long day tomorrow preparing for dinner."
His sons and daughter walked up to him and gave him a big hug.
Franzlie's voice trembled as she spoke to her father,
"Papa, thank you for choosing a righteous man for me. But even if he is not a good man, I will not let him bully me."
The old man McGregor guffawed at his daughter's words.
"You're a true McGregor, my girl. I knew you would do that. And your brothers will not leave you now. Even though you are going to your new family, we will never tire of watching over you. You are our sweet heiress."
"Franz, you are not a sweet but silly heiress,"
Achlys remarked before running inside the house. He was aware that his sister would not approve of his words.
Her brothers laughed as Arthur, her father, held her.
"Don't listen to them, baby girl," he teased, knowing that she didn't like being called that.
"Papa!" she protested, her lips pursed and her eyes narrowed. "I am not a baby!"
Rhory teased her,
"Awww!!!! You’re so adorable when you pout your lips."
The rest of the group laughed hard at her, and she joined in.
Her brothers escorted her to her room.
“Franz, please do not take it by heart everything that Papa has told you. We love you, and that is all that matters to us. We thought that Papa was merely joking before, but Achlys is aware of the truth." Llyr said to her.
"I reciprocate your love, even though we sometimes fight like cats and dogs. However, we ultimately come to the realization that we each have our own lives to live. I am grateful to Papa for all of this luxury, and I am blessed to have brothers who are also my friends. The way you spoil me is superb." Franzlie replied to her brother.
"Goodnight, princess," Rhory and Xanth said. "Get your beauty rest now, as we have a long day tomorrow. And remember, you are the one who will prepare breakfast."
"I will, and you too," she replied to her brother, waving her hand before entering her room.
Franzlie collapsed onto the bed and stared at the ceiling, tears welling up in her eyes. Despite her promise to herself that she would not be hurt, she felt heartbroken. She fell asleep crying, her heart aching in silence.
The chirping of birds awoke Franz at six o'clock in the morning. She stepped into the bathroom and took a quick shower. A few minutes later, she was dressed in blue buggy pants, a tank top, and an oversized see-through shirt. She glanced in the mirror and smiled. She applied concealer to hide her swollen eyes. After preparing herself, she walked out of her room and into the kitchen.
Franzlie requested that Mrs. Deana prepare the ingredients on the list and assist her in cooking breakfast for the family. Mrs. Deana took the list and gathered the ingredients from the fridge.
"Franz, would you like me to add seaweed paper and salmon to your dish?" Mrs. Deana asked as she washed the vegetables and meat.
"Yes, please. I think they will go well with the other ingredients," Franzlie replied.
Mrs. Deana nodded and continued preparing the ingredients. She chopped the vegetables, cooked the meat, and prepared the seaweed paper.
"Mrs. Deana, would you be so kind as to cook more rice? I am making sushi for Llyr, and I would also like the molo wrappers, please. I am making dumplings for Achlys." Franzlie asked politely of the lady butler.
"It seems you want them to miss you," Mrs. Deane commented as Franzlie wrapped the meat in the molo wrappers. "You could have just asked us to make breakfast for them."
"I am not doing this to make them miss me," Franzlie replied, her eyes welling up with tears. "I am doing this because it has been a while since we have been together, and my wedding is coming up soon. I want to serve them in the same way that they have treated me so well as part of this family."
The old butler patted her on the shoulder. "I remember how happy they were when you came to this house. Xanth and Rhorry were so small back then, and Madam was so happy to have you here with them."
