Third Person's POV
The mirror reflects a beautifully hideous form of a silver-haired princess. Moon, people named her, gently combed her wavy, long hair. She could hear the noises coming from outside her room. Though she's curious and wanted to go out, she doesn't have the right to unless called. People are busy decorating the Diamond Palace for the biggest event it will ever hold since its establishment: the Princesses' pre-debut.
"I hope Lord Watts will be here..." she whispered to herself before glancing outside the window. A weak smile stretched her pale lips.
She placed the comb on the vanity table and opened one of its drawers. She carefully took the cotton textile inside and her sewing kit. With such precision, she continued weaving his first name at the edge of the handkerchief. After putting more details into it, her present is done. She hid it inside a customized pouch and kept it aside so she would not forget to bring it with her later.
The knocks she heard from the door startled her.
"C-Come in!" she said while waiting for the door to open. A smile flashed on her face when her only but the best maid ever, Celia, came in with a huge box.
"King Liorei sent this dress for you, Princess. He said this is his first gift to you. There will be another later."
Moon gasps and walks to Celia. They brought the fancy box to her bed and opened its light lid. Her eyes twinkled in delight upon seeing the majestic dress inside, including a set of jewelry, a new make-up kit, and a pair of comfortable glass shoes to match her dress.
"I-Is this really mine? Oh, His Majesty gave this to me?" Moon unbelievingly wondered while touching the precious beads embedded in the dress.
Celia chuckled, "Let's get you cleaned and dressed. You will be called sooner or later. Also, I heard Lord Watts is returning. I'll make you the prettiest Princess in this world, Your Highness."
"Thank you, Celia, but you know how pretty the other Princesses are. I'm nothing like them," she smiled sweetly. Celia sighed helplessly and caressed her master's head.
"But you are pretty, too." Moon thanked her for the nice words she received from her.
After her bath, Celia proceeds to do her hair and light makeup. Celia straightened her hair and applied a glittery gel on it. Then, Moon finally fit herself into the modest a-line dress. It's simple yet very elegant. The sleeves stretch to her wrists, while the laced hem meets the floor. Celia didn't forget to put her magic gloves on to hide her pitch-black claws. 3 inches was added to her height when she wore her shoes. The luxurious pieces of jewelry were placed on Moon carefully before completing her look with a tiara on her head.
"Princess, you look amazing!" Celia praised now that her master's look was complete. Moon stared at her reflection, wonderstruck about her simple beauty.
The dress is a perfect fit for her. It's not very tight. It is comfortable and stretchable. No matter how hard she tried, she couldn't give a possible estimation for the cost of King Liorei's gift to her. It must have cost a fortune. She should walk the dress around confidently, especially in front of King Liorei so it wouldn't be a waste.
But there's one thing Moon is worried about.
She touched her chest.
"Celia, I think they've grown bigger again. And my behind, too. They're not going to burst, right? I'm scared. I can't sleep properly," she sighed.
"It's normal, Princess. You're growing and will only stop growing once you've become a woman. You're still a lady. If it becomes too bothersome, we can reduce its size through surgery," Celia suggested.
"But we don't have the budget for that, do we? Is this not abnormal? There's nothing wrong with my development, right?"
Celia nodded with an assuring smile, "Of course, there's nothing wrong about it. It's completely normal. We can just hide them behind your cloak but for now, be confident about being you. You look very beautiful and you deserve to be recognized for that. And if somebody tried to do bad things to you, tell me or King Liorei, hmm?"
Moon paid her back with a hesitating smile.
"I'll keep that in mind, Celia. Thank you."
Celia smiled back, "May I leave for a moment? I need to assist your lone guest." She gathered the make-up tools and cleaned them up.
Moon blinked in innocence, "Guest?"
Celia looked back at her.
"Yes, Princess. You brought a lady with you the other night, remember? Your friend, Lady Skadi Eira."
Realization slowly sank into Moon and told Celia to bring her to where 'Lady Skadi Eira' was. Her room is just across from hers. They stood before the door. Celia held the doorknob and twitched it open. They gasped upon meeting the cold temperature from inside. Celia pushed the door wider and inside, they saw a divine figure lying lifelessly on the bed.
On the other hand, the Earthlings and important guests are now arriving one after another in the Heart Palace's Main Grand Hall. Empress Siofra, with her husband King LIFE and first-born son Prince Izaac, greeted each of those who were coming with warm hospitality.
"Happy birthday to the Princess, Your Imperial Majesty," greet Empress Clastigaufeas of Vernignac as she curtsies before the Supreme God she swore her loyalty to.
"Thank you, Clast. Please, don't be so formal. Where's Maxism and your sons? They were just here earlier, right?" Empress Siofra looked around and found her answer right away upon seeing the father and son with her Uncle, Grand Duke Breuce, and his wife, Grand Duchess Helverica.
Prince Izaac tease, "Guess he will tie the knot sooner than Claxiord, huh."
Empress Clastigaufeas sighed, "Please, you know he's just playing. His father is just so..." She massaged her temples while shaking her head.
"Really!? T-Thank you, Your Grace!" Prince Maxigaufeas turns to his supportive father.
The stolid Grand Duke Breuce gave them a slight smile, "Just handle my Princess with care. There will be war if you return her to us with the tiniest scratch," he warned in a joking way, but the Vernignac father and son know that his threat is serious.
But the Prince is confident about himself, "There's nothing for you to worry about. I am taught how to handle ladies very well," he proudly said while looking over his father who was touched. The Emperor then knew that he raised the best son ever.
"Kyaaah! BESTIES!!!"
Each of them winced the moment they heard the high-pitched voices of the women who finally got the chance to reunite. The Impure Nobility women formed a circle, held each others' hands tightly, and jumped in delight before sharing the biggest group hug ever.
"Now, why do you look so blooming, Beshywap!? Are you preggy? You're preggy!" Mistress Seraphim, King LIFE's mother, to Grand Duchess Xerene.
The Grand Duchess flipped her hair, "Dzuh, I'm always blooming and fresh! But hmm, I wished I am. But we've been really, really busy!"
"Well, there's someone here who is! This bitch didn't know she was pregnant and went on a mission-impossible task! Girl, how's your baby?" Duchess Denise worried before pinching Duchess Luisa's arm lightly.
Duchess Luisa's baby bump is pretty obvious. They can't wait to see her eighth baby!
"My baby is strong. And don't scold me! I already got an earful from my husband. Geez, I wouldn't have gone through that mission too had I known. Hmmph," she pouted.
Her husband, Duke Locke, looks over her to check on his wife. He smiled when he saw that she was having a good time with her girl friends and went back to talking with his.
A moment more passed and finally, the twin sisters arrived with King Liorei who waited for their arrival outside and escorted them both inside.
"MOMMYYY!!" The twin Princesses screamed, pulling their mother's attention from her friends.
"Oh my, my Princesses!" Grand Duchess Xerene screamed back with her hands on her mouth.
They ran to each other, not minding the inches-high heels and locked each other in their arms.
"Kyaaah! I missed you, Mom!" The twin Princesses almost cried. King Liorei followed them and wiped his daughter's tears.
"Don't cry, my sweetheart. You'll ruin your makeup," he reminded.
The women loosened their hugs and faced each other.
"My Princesses. I suddenly remembered when you came of age. You both... Oh my, I'm crying!" Grand Duchess Xerene fan herself as she can't help but feel emotional when the sweet memories returned to her as if they just happened yesterday.
"Aww, Mom! You're such a softie!" Princess Selene laughed before kissing her mother. Princess Lorreign kissed her mother's other cheek.
"Right! And where are Ohms, Elektra, and Spike? Oh, we saw Wattsy on our way here, too! He's back!" Princess Lorreign's news made everyone's head turn to their location.
Prince Maxigaufeas, an extra that he is, jumped around when he heard it.
"What!? My bro is back!? Where!? WATTSY! WATTSY, MY BROTHER!" He shouted like a confused gorilla. The twin Princesses laughed.
"Oh, my baby boy. My baby boy!" Grand Duchess Xerene almost fainted because of how good the news was. Good thing that King Liorei is close to her and is quick enough to hold her up.
"HEY!"
This time, they looked up and saw Lady Elektra swinging on the chandelier.
"ELEKTRA!"
Grand Duke Voltage slapped his forehead the moment he saw his daughter above.
"I heard Wattsy is here! My baby bro where!? WHEREEEE!!!"
"Goodness, that Xerene mini-me," the Earthlings told themselves in disbelief. The Lady is swinging on the chandelier in her best look! They couldn't believe it!
"Ah, so that's where she was," the just-arrived Lord Ohms blurted now that he's seen who he's looking for. The Lady laughed at everybody.
"Yasss, slay gurl! Swing harder!" The ladies cheered, supportive as ever.
"Don't ever be like that, Princess. Your sister's insane. Like your Mom during her prime," King Liorei whispered to his daughter while suppressing his laugh.
The Princess feigned ignorance and whistled while exchanging glances with her twin sister. If only King Liorei knew...
"Alright, get to you later. I'll greet my Dad. Bye~" Princess Selene excused herself before flouncing to King LIFE who was stressed about Lady Elektra. She's ruining the party he worked so hard to organize!
Well, he's not the only one, but he played a part!
"Boo!"
King LIFE looked down. The moment he saw his first daughter, his face softened, and pulled her into a tender embrace.
"My Selene, you made it safely."
Princess Selene chuckled and patted her father's back.
"Well, my strong fiancé protected me and Lorreign throughout our journey. You should thank him,"
She got her answer when she heard her father click his tongue.
Speak of the devil, Crown Prince Claxiord intentionally cleared his throat to tell King LIFE about his existence beside them. Princess Selene pushed her father away and jumped to her fiancé.
"Baby! I missed you so much!" she cried while hanging on his neck.
"We were literally together just a few minutes ago, but I missed you, too," the chill Crown Prince said and kissed her forehead.
King LIFE parted them.
"Not in front of me. Go back to where you belong and leave my daughter alone! And Selene!" His voice softens, "Go greet your brothers, Princess. They missed you very much."
The Princess clapped, "Oh, right! Then, I'll leave Claxiord with you. See you later, hubby!" And she left her fiancé with her intimidating father. Crown Prince Claxiord couldn't look at him straight in his eyes.
"You will never be enough for my daughter, all right? You're just a lucky beggar," the King told him, and Emperor Maxism heard it on his way to save his son.
"Hey, hey, hey! How dare you insult my genes with Clastigaufeas's genes again! My masterpiece, don't believe this piece of shit. He doesn't know the blood, sweat, and tears I shed while creating you. You're my masterpiece."
Crown Prince Claxiord dropped his shoulders because of the stupid things his father blabbered.
"Masterpiece my ass. No man deserves my daughter! He will only taint my Selene!"
"Excuse me!? Your daughter's older than my boy! She WILL taint my son. He's innocent and she's experienced. I should be the one who's worried here!"
"What did you say!?"
Empress Clastigaufeas excused herself from the other ladies and went to her husband who's fighting with King LIFE again. She pinched his ear and pulled him away.
"A-Aw, Mommy! Don't be so hard, everyone's watching---I'm kidding! Love---you're tearing my ear!"
Their friends laughed at Emperor Maxism's punishment as they watched his wife take him away.
Finally, the most awaited visitor has come.
