“Me and Ophelia were playing together and I accidentally knocked the vase off while running” He continued.

Ophelia was beyond confused as to why he would do that. Didn’t he hate her? On top of that, Leo was the villain. He is supposed to be a self-centered jerk who only cares about himself. Her mind straight away went towards a thought,’what is Leo wasn’t the villain?’ 

‘What if it’s the Northern duchy’s heir who is the villain? Because the villain would never save someone else. I mean there was a scene where the villain left his own uncle to bleed to death and the villain was just 18 in that scene. That kind of a person, let alone taking blame for something they never did, will never help anyone.’ Ophelia thought further. She has never seen the Northern duchy’s kid in these playtimes that are arranged because he’s always sick.

“Oh?” The duchess questioned, her voice getting calm.

“It’s alright. It was an accident. It’s good that you didn’t get hurt. Be careful when you run,alright Leo?” The duchess said as Leo nodded. Her mother gave her a look which said ‘don’t cause trouble’ before leaving.

Ophelia looked at Leo, the black hair and bloodshot red eyes could only be of a villain’s. 

‘Besides, there is only one character with black hair and that is the villain. The northern family’s kid is so fragile he is always sick and doesn’t attend any events. A sick kid like that can’t be a villain. The northern kid is probably Aurelia’s third male lead.’ Ophelia thought as she was slightly pissed that she couldn’t remember the third male lead’s faces. It irked her how she only could remember some details of the story she read.

“What are you staring at?” Leo asked,slightly scowling.

“Nothing” Ophelia answered,breaking away from her train of thoughts. Leo, HAD to be the villain otherwise it would be stupid. He has a trashy personality and on top of that he has black hair. And only the villain has black hair.

“Thank you for saving me” Ophelia said,she was still not sure as to why he saved her but she was grateful,even if he was the villain.

“Tsk. It’s not like I did it for you or anything. That old lady’s voice was annoying so I did it” Leo said,rubbing the back of his neck with his hand as he looked away.

It was at this time Ophelia had a thought,’what if instead of avoiding the villain,I make friends with him. This way I can definitely have a better view of things!’
