It seems Jude, Harley, and Arc find themselves in Nagisa's room. It's made evident because Harley finds a piece of paper with writing in a "strange unfamiliar language." And while you may not know this, all three lines should read "Nagisa" (assuming I didn't mess it up!). She did recently ask Chiaki how her name is written in Japanese, after all. And here we see the follow up.

They don't focus on this for long, though, as Arc finds a case of mysterious vials. But Harley seems to be familiar with this. And he introduces us to this world's method of medical transition. Interestingly, it doesn't sound that different from how it works in our world, in that taking the meds enable the slow process to help change our bodies over time.
Although, with magic being a thing, these little med potions are both a bit more versatile and a bit more erratic. While more things could be changed simply through meds, results can affect a lot more than is expected. Depending on how specific the change the user wants, it could take a lot longer, or be a more challenging concoction to make. And the wrong person taking the wrong med could actually be a bit of an issue, to put it lightly!
In short, I know many readers may see this as a better option than what we're working with because it's more specific, but I don't think it's necessarily better or easier. It's just different. It's more customizable and potentially more precise, but also features a lot more ways things can go south. There are pros and cons, and we'll talk lots more about them as we go because - surprise - I'm the lady that writes trans comics. XD
Next time, it seems like Jude's got something more to add on this matter.
Follows the strange story of Chiaki, a daydreaming otaku who longs to confess her feelings to her childhood friend, Fumiko, and how that's made especially difficult when she gets transported to another world...
