On one hot summer day, Bo met an angel.
Or, at least someone who looked like an angel. With bright blonde hair and a gorgeous smile, Bo was awestruck. How could he possibly have lived a good enough life to be blessed like this?
Bo was good looking himself, sure, with black hair and vibrant eyes, but it couldn’t really compare to the stranger he met in the cornerstore on that day.
“You don’t understand, he was so pretty.”
“Yeah, I got that the first few times,” Carter replied, confused as to why Bo was describing a beta as pretty. Making that assumption was a devastating mistake.
“I just can’t get over it. I want to talk to him” Although Bo was excited to find someone that he liked, he was nervous to go out with someone again. The last time hadn’t exactly ended well.
It was a small town, so it was unlikely that Bo wouldn’t see the stranger again, but he knew that with his social anxiety, it would be a tall goal to accomplish.
“Sure, sure,” Carter distractedly answered back, playing a game on his phone.
After a week of continuously visiting the store and buying bubble gum, so as to not be seen as loitering, Bo had exhausted his money and his will to continue searching. Just as he was pushing the door to leave the store, and unable to stop himself, he rammed the door right into the beautiful stranger he was looking for.
“Oh shoot. I am so sorry.” Bo rushed to say.
“Don’t worry about it.” The stranger replied, taking Bo’s hand and using it to steady himself.
“No, I really am sorry. Let me make it up for you by getting you some coffee at the very least.” Bo hesitantly said, not noticing himself taking the stranger's hand into both of his hands. When he did finally notice, he quickly pulled his hands away, blushing at how close he had been with the other omega.
“Uh yeah, okay.” The omega replied, uncertain if he had just been asked out on a date.
It took a moment for Bo to realize the implications of what he had said. When he finally did, he started to blush even more furiously, and attempted to cover his face with his hands. He couldn’t believe he had asked that. It was instinctual to offer something to make up for his mistake, but he hadn’t registered that it would come off that way.
Not even noticing that the stranger had said yes, Bo started to apologize.
“Oh my gosh. I am so sorry. That sounds so bad. I can assure you that that is not what I meant. I totally did not mean to ask you out.” As he fired the words out, he stalled when he finally understood what the stranger had said. Did he just unknowingly ruin his chances of asking the cute omega out?
“Oh.” With a disappointment ridden face, the other omega made to move away.
“Okay wait. It’s not that I’m not asking you out. I’m just really nervous. Sorry.” Bo tried to fix what he said but worried that he was too late.
“No, no, it’s okay. I’m totally nervous too.” the other omega said before adding “You’re just really pretty.” Quickly realizing what he had said, he whispered to himself “I did not mean to say that out loud.”
“What?” Bo replied.
“What?” The other omega stared back at him in shock of himself.
“Okay then. Um, do you want to join me for coffee?” Bo was quick to try and twist the conversation into a better direction, not fully sure what he was saying due to anxiety, but he still somehow formed a full sentence.
“Sure!” Glad to get out of the awkward conversation with a distraction, Sol easily answered.
Sharing information with eachother as they walked to a nearby coffee shop, they discovered that they both came from the same city. It wasn’t exactly surprising that they didn’t know eachother, partly due to Bo’s hesitance to socialize and partly due to it being a big city.
Carter was reluctant to accept a new person to their pair, but seeing as Bo and Carter had both exhausted all options of what to do during the summer, he hesitantly gave in. Being a beta meant that he couldn't smell pheromones, meaning it was pretty easy to hide the fact that Sol was an omega. That, along with how Bo and Sol were dating, was hidden.
It wasn’t until later in the month that Carter finally found out.
