In the process of walking to his house to get his charger, Sol was finally able to calm himself down. He knew now that the situation wasn’t Bo’s fault. He also knew that he was the one who made the situation awkward, and yet he knew that he was still allowed to have feelings as well. Whether those feelings were negative or not, they were still a part of him.
Experiencing a little case of hurt ego, Sol resolved to not get into that type of situation again.
So, when he went to walk back after achieving his goal of attaining a charger, he was completely unprepared to meet the boy who pushed him again.
“Oh. It’s you. The annoying one.” The boy looked at him as though he were essentially crushing Sol into the ground.
“Yeah, it’s me,” Sol bit back. Not fully taking in that the boy looked much stronger than him, Sol gladly picked a fight.
He had only seen the boy for a moment, so he hadn’t realized earlier that he hadn’t smelt any pheromones coming from him. Now that he was close enough to actually recognize it, he understood that the boy was a beta. There was still something distinctly off about him though that Sol couldn’t pinpoint.
Cutting off the boy before he could say another rude thing again, Sol spoke: “You know, if you hadn’t realized, you pushed me earlier. I don’t know who you are, but what gives you the right?”
“Do I need a reason? You were in my way, loud, and just generally a major annoyance. Some of us are in school for a reason. Obviously you don’t understand that” the boy responded with venom on his tongue.
“Pfft. I was just walking with my friends. Guess you wouldn’t know what that’s like” Sol scoffed and turned around to continue walking on the forest path. Now that he understood the boy’s reasoning, he knew that the boy was just trying to wind him up.
As he walked along the path, feeling more irritated than before, he was too caught up in his emotions to notice the light sound of leaves crunching behind him.
The boy earned a furious glare from the omega who finally noticed what was happening.
“What are you doing?”
“Nothing. What’s your problem now?” The boy looked bored.
“Well, you’re obviously following me.” Sol huffed and put his hands on his hips, ready to start another fight. Just when would this beta stop trying to do everything to tic Sol off?
“Hah. And why would I follow you? An omega with a bad personality isn’t fun.”
Usually, when people found out that Sol was an omega, they would react one of two ways: praise him like he’s from the heavens above, or become alarmingly obsessed. Sometimes it’s both. This boy however was neither.
“Fun? That sounds a lot like you expect omegas to all be the same. Just to warn you, I’m not a pretty little princess in her tower. I’m more than my gender” Sol was beginning to get seriously angry. Who did this guy think he was? The prime minister? Yeah right.
“Mhmm” The boy flashed him a cocky grin and crossed his arms over his chest. “I’m pretty sure you’re at least one of those things.
Sol immediately became flustered. Did he mean pretty, little, or princess? If he meant pretty, Sol was going to get seriously confused. It wasn’t that Sol was surprised that he was seen as pretty, but the boy was very quickly changing his attitudes when he was so rude before.
The boy was obviously attractive; you would be blind to say he wasn’t, so it made Sol a little nervous.
Sol found himself caught in a trap. There was no way for him to regain control in this scenario and the boy had already won once Sol became flustered.
“Anyway, you shouldn’t be following me.” Sol tried to regain some semblance of power.
“Not like I was doing that anyway, but fine. I have places to be” The boy said, continuing to walk in Sol’s direction.
Expecting some kind of interaction, Sol flinched when the boy walked towards him. He opened his eyes though after finding nothing happened and looked around to see that the boy had just walked past.
Reeling in embarrassment, Sol looked down at his feet and blushed.
