“Ugh. I’m so done with today.” Sol complained. More than enough things had happened that made him mad. And, when Sol was finally calming down after Carter left, Aaron decided to annoy him.
Aaron completely refused to help Sol lift Bo upstairs. It was strange. For some reason, Aaron repudiated even being near Bo and covered his nose the whole time.
“Don’t think that I’ll suddenly be nice to you because of this.” Aaron stood up straight and gave Sol a nasty snarl. Aaron was probably mentioning it because most people would feel sorry for Sol in a moment like that. Fighting with your boyfriend’s best friend was not the way to go.
“I won’t. I know what you’re really like.” Glaring at the boy, Sol pointed the way to the door.
Aaron left quickly after that.
Thankfully, Bo was conscious enough that he could partially walk himself to Sol’s bed with a little help. Sol would have been in big trouble if he couldn’t. He wasn’t exactly the epitome of strength.
Without the distraction of doing something, Sol started to glare at the wall, remembering what Carter had said. He couldn’t believe he would say that their relationship was weird. The omega was surprised, seeing as he had never really noticed that Carter had any inhibitions towards themselves. Carter was literally best friends with an omega. How could he be prejudiced against them?
Maybe there were signs. Carter was always willing to remind them of the circumstances of their relationship in public.
It was risky to accuse Carter of liking Bo, but it was worth it. To see Carter’s face during that moment really set it in. He looked scared more than anything.
Sol felt that there could be no other explanation. He had seen the looks Carter had given the other omega when Bo wasn’t looking. It wasn’t exactly a friendly look, but rather of longing and want.
In addition, Sol realized that Carter was mean to him when Bo wasn’t around. What else could that mean except for him trying to impress Bo? When all of the factors were added up, it was a clear conclusion. Carter was in love with Bo.
While Sol was off ranting to himself, he hadn’t noticed Bo’s pheromones getting slowly stronger and stronger. It was to the point where it was overwhelming. But, as Sol was too caught up in himself, he only realized when he looked over at Bo to check if he was okay.
Clearly, Bo was doing very well, as he was out like a light. Sol worried for a second, wondering if Bo had passed out again, but took in how Bo carried some of Sol’s dirty clothes to his bed, lying in them and relaxed.
Crouched beside the bed and stroking Bo’s hair, Sol was completely unprepared to be dragged into bed by the still asleep Bo. Unable to wrench himself out of Bo’s clutches, he resolved to escape later when Bo relaxed more.
Unfortunately, Sol fell asleep before he could do that and only awoke later to a ticklish feeling on his neck. It wasn’t that he was mad at Bo for keeping him trapped, but rather that he was annoyed at himself for falling asleep. He still had the project to finish.
Pushing himself up and off the bed, he went to the washroom but was pulled back by a hand. Bo was awake.
“What are you doing?” Bo garbled out, still very obviously feeling the effects of a five hour nap. It certainly didn’t help that he was in heat, resulting in him feeling even more tired.
“Bathroom,” Sol replied. He was feeling dirty from fighting with Carter and felt a need to clean himself.
“Take me with you,” Bo said.
Sol made to help Bo, but he gave up when Bo made no effort to get up.
“Move yourself.” Was Sol’s only reply. He was open to letting Bo come with him, but not without effort on his part.
“No” Bo whined out.
Attempting to grab onto Sol’s arm and completely missing, Bo fell onto the floor. Opting to just lay there, Bo waited for Sol to get back, falling asleep in the process.
“C’mon, you need to clean yourself.” Sol shook Bo awake. Bo was sweaty and smelt too sickly sweet for it to be pleasant for anyone to be around him. His pheromones were clouding Sol’s brain, resulting in him having a slight fuzziness in his vision. But no, he wouldn’t allow himself to get caught up in it.
“Do it for me,” Bo began to say until he saw Sol’s face. “Please” he quickly uttered out to compensate for his demand.
Sol gave out a big sigh and then helped Bo to stand up. He had never seen Bo in heat before, but knew what it was like, so he tried his best to give Bo some leeway.
The bathroom was cold, with the floor tiles freezing Bo’s feet. Putting his feet on Sol’s to try to warm them up, Sol squawked and looked at Bo, betrayed.
Finally, the room heated up as the steam from the bath spread throughout the room. Sol was slowly coerced to get in with Bo, convinced by the radiating warmth.
It was the few minutes of peace in the tub with Bo that Sol was finally able to relax from the day. His shoulders had never truly stopped being so tense even after his fight with Carter was over.
Letting his head rest against the side of the tub, Sol closed his eyes and allowed himself to rest. It was going to be a long night.
