‘Nothwae (thank you) my Kairaga. Nothwae (thank you) my Psymo’ he said while giving the gesture of the Eripme and a slight bow before continuing. ‘Emoclew both Mix and Echo divisions and all other honored guests, I am Hanokii of the Mix and I have been working on a special interest that has become something I do believe is truly promising.’ He flowed as he danced complimenting the words as he spoke in his minds eye, though in reality he moved very subtly and softly, his 6 extra eyes carefully observing all those around him. For those of Ephangi descent every professional meeting could be seen as a performance whether conference or competition. Performance was not something Ephangians just did, it was who they were. He continued,

‘To put simply, those of us here are all aware of the speculative appearance of the new virus that seems to be slowly spreading across our newly growing empire in regards to what we know as the “hex gene”. Worse still we have not yet been able to locate the origin or understand the virus yet to a capacity in which we can without a doubt neutralize the threat. What we do know is it seems to focus on or begin with the Traeh organ which as you all know is both the physical and spiritual key to our physiology that gives us the deep connection and ability to manipulate the universe and life around us with unparalleled potential. The consequences of this occurrence for the host are often at best detrimental and at worst devastating even causing many to raise the speculatory notions that this is the return of the dreaded “Changling curse” implemented by the blood hex arts of old.’

The crowd gasped and grunted at the mention of the past pandemic-like circumstance caused by the terrorism of those seeking power, which combined with the civil wars had almost seen Nampu society destroyed. Though enough time had passed for change to occur, the memory was not as quick to completely fade.

‘Now I can neither confirm nor deny all that has been speculated. However, today I am proud to announce my team and I have made progress and discovered something that brings with it much promise and hope. Within the virus there is a molecule, or a particle rather, one that if correctly isolated and implemented, can merge with the DNA of a living being such as ourselves instead of overstimulating and disrupting our natural enochi flow. This polymerization  grants the host greater capabilities and effectively creates not only a cure, but a way to harness the untapped potential within the hex gene!’

More gasps came as slight commotion began discussing the opening assertions and propositions. Hanokii allowed them a moment before he retook the attention and continued.

‘The reason I have called Da Echo here today to join us is that the specific benefits I intend to first focus on will directly impact both our chambers forever, and will require both to make great sacrifices…’

The room became silent and Hanokii knew his next choices would make or break his performance, but it was in these moments he was made to shine.

‘Our enochi is a gift from the heavens of creation and our ability to use it to shape the world around us as well as ourselves is our greatest ability both for ourselves and for the crusade. We already have control of the elements, the great tribes of Raikosi command them at will. We already have mastered the beast, the prominent clans of the Vasz gaining the powers of all the creatures that roam our lands, seas and skies. Now I ask you to plug your ears and put on your protective glasses as you consider what if we could do more? There is still so much to learn, but what if I offered you the power to shape fate itself?’

The crowd began following directions as murmurs and debates amongst themselves came about, some offended at the notion that they were not already perfect as they were, others anxious to see where he was taking it. One nam called out what many were thinking, ‘You’re playing with danger itself, should this really be done!?’

‘You propose madness as a solution then?’ Said another immediately after, those around him sharing the sentiment.

‘He speaks well, but I didn’t come all this way just to listen. Let us see what he can do!’ Shouted a nam sporting a digital monocle as those around him followed suit and cheered with him.

The young visionary looked up at his master's challenging face before he glanced around at those gathered and responded,

‘Thank you and yes. Yes I know the notion seems imaginative in an extreme sense, but indeed I truly believe it can…’

He gestured and from the shadows of the back stage a figure emerged wrapped in ceremonial robes of azul and jade. A hood cloaked his head, but with every step his body radiated a delicate rage like a fire who’s flames stood at the edge of the world in question as to whether or not it should burn. The figure moved towards Hanokii and stopped for a moment, the spider's multi multi-colored eyes meeting his own white hot gaze before he knelt down in honor of the nam and council who now looked upon him.

‘The nam before you was the first of those I met who had contracted the virus and was at death's doorstep before I had the opportunity to help him. His valor unquestioned as he willingly sacrificed his life to aid our Eripmes very own Master General Mettsu from the wrath of a titan cub.’

Hanokii looked over to see Brackin was there too, his face sour and stern as usual. He was one of the few that had known prior to this what the punchline of the act would be due to his relation with Hanokii and his first patient. Brackin did not like Hanokii, but he did not like any of the science divisions and if he had it his way, this program would never have made it to this opportunity. Still, even he wouldn’t put his pride over the chance to save such a valiant soldier who was under his command. A sentiment that Hanokii undoubtedly took advantage of to make this happen.

‘Now, because of the power of my mind and this nam’s spirit we have discovered it’s not a cure for a virus that we need nor is it the power to undo a curse, but courage to face the opportunity of change. Rise my yout. Rise and let your face.. No, let THE face and the vision of the future be seen!’

As Hanokii continued he dove into climax like a bolt spider leaping out in ambush on its unexpecting victim. He gestured for the crowd to look up only to now witness the mountain of rock lifted by 50 of the strongest terra seers in the region floating above their heads . As the crowd took notice, some began to panic, others even attempting to muster strengths of their own in instinctual fight or flight reaction.

‘Are you mad!?’

‘How can this be?!’

‘This has to be a joke’

‘He wouldn’t dare!’

Declarations of all manner spilled forth from the attendees, but in the end none moved from their seats. Whether because they were so fascinated by the prospect of the unknown, calmed by the presence of such high ranking C.O.D members or more scared of abandoning a meeting held by very same people, who could say. Brackin looked on in slight disgust as if even though what he saw was a strength he must respect, so too was it an offense to something he held dear. Ahqueer, one of which who was fascinated, stared into the sky with the face of wonder allowing the sensations of emotion to flow through her unaffected by the will of restraint. It was only Zakanashi who watched on with a sinister and delighted grin on his face. The terror. The Confusion. THE EXCITEMENT! He was happy to see it and on the edge of his seat himself.

‘Do not fear the gravity of the situation, but rather.. Embrace the fall of attraction with all the intensity of a storm beyond thunder!’

Hanokii stared into the sky, his short antennacles waved in the gust created by the raging wind due to the massive shift of the terrain and the pressure that followed as he gave the signal for the mountain to be dropped. As the silhouette slowly overtook the space casting a shadow over those it would soon crush like ants beneath the foot of a golem, the knight rose to his feet with his head now revealed to have short antanacles and a youthful, handsome face. A vine-like mark flowed around his right eye. His skin was brown and purple with thin branch-like markings that spread across it like random small patches of cocoa root, and in the center of his chest was a massive scar which ran across his torso vertically. It seemed as if it was almost a stretched crescent in shape, as if his scar was hiding something else beneath other than his ribs, lungs and heart. But his eyes… the knights eyes were white stars in the center of black pools and if they could burn one who looked into them like a star they surely would’ve. He did not blink. He did not wince. He simply held up a hand into the space above his head as air began to twister into and out of his very palm as if the sky and the mountain of stone was being sucked into his hand itself.

‘Show dem da neo Ephangian warrior..’

The sound his power began to produce was like a whistle that tugged at the soul with a melody of wrathful sadness, the kind a queen of banshees might sing. Then with a sudden pop of a shatter-blasted forcefield of an incredible magnitude, lightning combusted forth from the hand of the knight in such an extremely powerful force that the entire structure of the hall shook from the shockwave of its release! It radiated in colors that lightning shouldn’t have, at least not here on Ephangi and the stone fragment above began to radiate and splinter with the awesome power unleashed upon it.

‘Show dem… Da Glitch In the System!’

The shockwave secondarily erupted again yet this time almost as if in reverse and as the raw lightning retracted into the man’s palm, it hyper focused into a pink white beam of laser like precision that shot forth into the atmosphere as if attempting to cut the very sky itself in half. The mass was sliced through the middle in an instant before it fragmented with a strange cybernetic tone and erupted into an explosion that had it not been for preplaced field generators in addition to the support of those same 50 terra seers to track and contain the worst of the debris, the entire surrounding landscape may have been threatened with destruction. The terrific and terrible beam of power lasted for but a moment longer before the figure clutched it’s mighty hand into a fist as if to strangle that very same power away himself rather than simply fading it off. He dropped his steaming hand back to his waist and relaxed his posture. His face had not changed in the slightest. If he was in any distress, he hid it well, his eyes still concentrated windows to the white fire. The crowd, slowly recovering from the display of power they had just witnessed, was in shock and awe. To see such strength unleashed with such force and with such ease. It was as terrible as it was wonderful a sight to behold.
