Our imagination can wind time both backward and forward, or it can anchor us in the present. Over a century ago, to be exact in 1912, two nemeses were destined to meet aboard a single ship. Yes, that ship was named the Titanic. At that time, nobody could have imagined that the grand ship would eventually rest peacefully in the depths of the Atlantic Ocean.
But let us return to the 1912 events.
The beginning of the 20th century, a time when ladies still wore corsets and gentlemen donned cylindrical hats; when cars were still a novelty, and numerous other remarkable advancements had to come and also... great catastrophes were yet to unfold.
In early April of that year, many ladies and gentlemen assembled in the port of Southampton, Britain, eagerly awaiting their turn to board one of the largest and most luxurious ships afloat at that time.
Nobody knew that this buzzing life and these smiles would be torn into pieces after just a few days. Nobody was prepared for this catastrophe, not even the main characters of our story.
