In Another World with My Variant SoulPalace

Death? In Front of Golden Palace

Death? In Front of Golden Palace

Feb 04, 2024

It was a place that transcended the boundaries of reality, out of the grasp of mortal understanding. It was a mysterious realm within which landscapes were everchanging reflections of the everchanging consciousness. It was a realm where the very concept of ground and sky dissolved into an abstract tapestry of surreal wonder. The air in this unreal space was not constrained by the laws of physics.

The absence of a traditional floor or sky created a sense of weightlessness as if the very essence of the dimension cradled them in a cosmic embrace. The place was conveying a joke to reality as if telling you to discard the problematic and pragmatic reality and accept that enigmatic dreamy realm and become a happy prisoner in its embrace.

Inside that realm, there stood... or floated who knows what; Alex was standing on the floor that was invisible or should I say non-existent. What was he doing inside that place no one knows, not even him. He was perplexed as he with a shocked face looked around again marveling at the scenery of that place.

'What is this place? How... how did I come here? I just slept inside that cave then how?'

He thought and kept repeating that question inside his mind in the hope of finding the answer to that question eventually if he kept asking. But to no avail, the situation was unreal, but Alex had already felt the same emotions so now his reality and understanding of the rule of the Universe were dangerously bending hoping to accept the situation as the new normal. It was the survival strategy crafted by his mind otherwise his mind would give up leaving him all alone to fend for himself.

With a calm composure, he started to check out everything. First, he noticed the absence of anything to support himself, but he was standing in the void. As he looked downward there was nothing as if he was standing in the Space itself. At the top, there was nothing either. But he noticed something on the horizon.

'Huh! Solar system... There is a Solar system and not one but two. Just where is this place and why am I here exactly?'

Yes, he noticed two solar systems on the horizon. Alex felt weird after noticing those solar systems at least they looked like one. He felt as if he was in control of that place. He felt as if he could do anything inside that place. It was a surreal feeling. This type of feeling of loftiness no one can even feel inside its own house but Here at that place, he felt like he was God.

Trying to feel the same emotions, as he looked again at those solar systems his body suddenly came near to those structures, or... those structures suddenly vanished from their place and originate near him? Whatever, he was now near those structures, and he could clearly see them.

He had missed something. He had forgotten about the palace. Yes, those structures were on this palace and now he stood on the roof of the golden palace looking at those structures. He had forgotten to mention the Golden Palace as he was shocked after seeing the solar systems upon it.

So, in summary, after sleeping inside the cave he was now in a mystical place devoid of sky or earth, but a Golden Palace was there and two Solar systems on it. The most shocking thing was that he was feeling as if he was the master of the place.

As he investigated the structures, he noticed the following. Two wisps... maybe energy cores same as monster cores but bigger were in the center of both the systems. Both the cores were white in shade but one of them showed a mixture of various colors if looked intently. It was an aurora inside that core. Nine orbits were there surrounding both the cores. They were like abstract matter dangling between reality and illusion.

There was something in between those solar systems, a bar with nine levels specified separated spaces in between. Alex noticed only one level; the lowest one was filled with light as it was glowing. Suddenly he noticed many stones-like things appeared and surrounded him.

As if it was a natural thing his eyes shut down and he started to float in a sleeping position. All those stone-like substances transformed into different energy beams and shot forward toward him. All energy beams got assimilated inside him. That started the process as two different energy cores formed revolving around each core in both solar systems. It looked like planets revolving around the Sun albeit there were two suns there.

Now one of the orbits was occupied in both solar systems. As those energies revolved around, more energy filled inside that place as if getting sucked inside. It all congregated around the floating body of Alex and the standing bar in between the solar systems. The already-filled level of the bar glowed brightly.

The process continued; with the passing of time, Alex woke up. He stabilized his body as he stood looking around stupefied with all the changes inside the place. At this moment Alex had stopped feeling anything. After a few moments of thinking, he appeared in front of the Golden Palace. He just thought about that, and the place made it happen.

He went inside that palace without a second thought as if something was beckoning him to explore what was inside. There was nothing inside. It was just a humongous palace and nothing only emptiness filled inside. But he felt peace inside the palace. He felt as if he was looking at his reflection. It was the surreal feeling of being home.

As there was nothing to do and see inside, Alex decided to fully explore that enigmatic realm. With a single thought he again appeared where he first started. But there was nothing to explore. There was nothing in there other than that huge palace and other things on it. The realm was endless but devoid of anything. Alex felt he would be lost inside.

Suddenly, he noticed a familiar figure, a bouncy jiggly cute... hmm I mean slime his first kill in another world. But the difference was inside this place that slime looked aggressive ready to jump forward attacking him. Feeling the danger Alex thought about having a weapon. Like having his wish fulfilled a spear appeared in his hand.

Holding the spear tightly Alex was ready and thrust forward and pierced the slime as it neared him. The slime vanished. In its place now appeared another familiar being. A goblin appeared holding a spear. It was also aggressive nothing usual, but it seemed to take a vow to kill him. Its eyes were glinting, red ready to take revenge perhaps.

Alex killed that over-excited goblin making it vanish into the void. Then two slimes appeared and then two more goblins. As Alex kept killing more and more of them started appearing. As the battle continued more and more monsters died and many more appeared not giving Alex a second to breathe. Injuries kept piling on his body as he continued his hunting spree.

The pace quickened, turning the once sparse battleground into a chaotic arena filled with the bizarre sounds of slimes bouncing and goblins growling.

Despite Alex's prowess in dealing with individual monsters, their relentless numbers began to overwhelm him. Slimes multiplied exponentially, filling the void around him like a rising tide. Goblins advanced, each one determined to be the harbinger of his downfall.

As the battle was ongoing something was happening in the background silently. With each death of the monster a strand of energy would remain after and would assimilate into the energies revolving around the cores of solar systems. And with each assimilation glow of the level inside the bar intensified. There was also a slight luminescent development inside the second level.

Soon came a moment when it was becoming impossible for Alex. The possibility of losing and impending death kept looming inside his mind. Still, riddled with injuries and many questions forming inside his mind he continued his relentless struggle that was becoming futile.

With no definite indicator of time, it was impossible to tell the amount of time passing. But much time had passed and there was not even an inch of place for Alex to move around. He was getting sandwiched among all those monsters. Slowly his body was giving out and his mind was getting blank. A moment appeared when closing his eyes Alex was only flailing around his spear mindlessly.

In a surreal turn of events, the sea of slimes surged, covering Alex entirely. The boundaries between him and the monsters blurred, creating a disorienting fusion of the protagonist and the creatures born from the void.

In that strange and infinite space, the battle raged on, and the line between reality and the depths of Alex's own psyche became increasingly unclear. The void witnessed a relentless dance of monsters, a reflection of the challenges that awaited Alex in this mystical and unpredictable world.

Was that a forewarning depicting the end of Alex alone inside the void?

Alex, a young man with an unyielding will, sheer determination and some disillusioned beliefs.

He believes in magic and the supernatural. Living in the era of A.I., he sure does have read many illusionary stories so called 'Webnovels' written by some of the weirdest creatures on the earth.

His belief in magic didn't come from those but it was so natural like eating when you feel hungry or sleeping during the night.

He felt as if he had witnessed magic somewhere that is what made his belief and now he had forgotten that, what remained only reminiscent of that grandeur of a name still blinking inside his mind.

Carrying the heavy weight of a weird 2nd-grade belief among peers whose minds were already above that fantasy, Alex didn't sit still.

With his will and determination, he did everything to defend his belief. He spent most of the time learning and perfecting every martial art available.

He studied every religious and historical book and scripture that was available to find something somewhere to fuel the blinking fire inside his heart supporting his belief in magic, a nonsense fantasy that could only remain inside a nonsense novel written by nonsensical creatures.

With everything prepared, Alex was only waiting. Waiting for the moment, when he could come out and proudly announce to this nonsense-filled world that only his nonsense was at least full of sense.

He was waiting waiting... until that day came...
