After 15 long years of exile because of an inability to have a child, the empress returns to find her husband worried for his well being and safety. She learns part of their found family is still alive, however, one is in their way wanting the found family gone. Half the found family was lost at sea. Her best friend vanished over 6 years ago with no trace, while her father no longer approves of a marriage he arranged. She has to exhaust her powers just to keep her husband and found daughter safe because the same person dislikes them both and wants them gone.
