Once upon a time there was a great war in which great heroes of all nations participated, but only one carried sorrow in her heart because of the blood she would spill with her hands.
The war lasted some days and nights and the hero has already crossed with her sword more bodies than her soul could carry. She felt guilt of not being strong enough for being able to save the nation without the need of killing.
At the end of the battle in her last breath and with blood all over her went on the search of God.
Lost in the battle, wandering around she found a chapel, and took the decision to go inside. There was a big cross and in front of it, she poured her soul out to the lord.
On her knees, without being able to look up, gave a shout out of pain and with shame took her sword and said:
“God, I took more lives that I can remember, my sword pierce those who were called my enemies, when in your sight we are all your creations and every single one of us you carry us with you”
“I know I have not forgiveness for what I have done, I am ashamed to ask you this but I need your help”
“Everyone I took their life with my sword, I ask for their peace and eternal rest, the forgiveness of their sins, that their souls not carry any sorrow for their sins, please Lord, forgive them”
“In offering, I give myself out to you for the aberration I did in your sight”
Then the woman took her sword and at the moment she was going to pierce herself in the heart, hears.
“I forbid you to take another life”
The woman stops.
“Give me what I want”
Then she answers:
“What would you like Lord?”
And God answers:
“Give me back my lost ones”
The woman with tears falling from her eyes, blood over her and exhausted, did not understand what God was instructing her.
Then God explains:
“Yo will go to church and repent your sins and will offer me everything you have”
“You will spread the gospel all over the nation”
“Become my loyal servant and in every step I will guide you”
The woman gave him everything she had, including the overwhelming suffering she carried and what God did was give her another way to save the people of the nation by the word of Jesuschrist, loving others like God loved her.
She changed her sword for a prayer.
God found her between tears and blood, he transformed her suffering into life, because God loved her and she was renewed under his grace.
She became the daughter of God.
“Thank You father for the mercy”
“ Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need”.
