Once upon a time there was a woman who lived with a stranger,
She woke up and he was there.
She went out with his friends and he was there.
At breakfast with her family he was there.
Desperate to say “Go away” she could not.
Her friends and family liked the stranger more than herself.
So every morning when she looked at her in the mirror, saw the stranger and not herself.
Walk on the streets and pretend someone who she is not just to fit in was making her soul an abomination, with the heaviness of her thoughts,
One day on the street she heard a man spreading the gospel.
He said that God could see the hearths of people,
A thought crossed her mind.
“If God can see the hearts of people, then He must know who I am!”
She started praying and reading her bible.
She thought Jesus was coming to talk to her but that did not happen.
She little by little started being diligent with her lectures and the prayers.
She started changing…
After a while, she saw herself in the mirror , no more stranger, just her feeling happy and renewed.
“But the Lord said to Samuel, Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”
-Samuel 16:7
